  2. “yakker”? Larry Elder is an icon (to me, anyway), and would be a perfect permanent host for that time slot.

  3. Who the hell is Larry Elder?

  5. Alison, you seem like a conservative (or at least a moderate). You would probably like him. (And as Chet mentions, he shows up on H & C a lot.)

  6. how could Tucker Carlson have the 6 to 9 slot if he lives in dc?

  7. I’d love to see Elder get some more time on FNC. Maybe a weekend time slot after they release their new business channel.

  9. Tucker can’t even get ratings on his own damn show. Waste of time. Put Laura Ingraham on.

    Comment by Lurker — May 2, 2007 @ 5:29 pm

  10. I think KO would have a s**t fit if they brought Laura on.

  11. I can’t wait until Imus is on another network in the same timeslot and slaughters whoever MSNBC hires.

  12. It so silly, if your going to replace IMUS, replace him with someone new and different- dont try to get a clone as it wont work. Maybe if they get someone conservative, maybe they can draw away some of F&F viewers, but that wont work as it has been proven before that conservatives are loyal followers of FNC and no amount of conservatives on other channels will draw their loyal viewers away. For an example of this just look at Glenn Beck’s ratings.

  13. Tucker and Willie will both be on.
    They are so great together.
It will be hard for me to turn from Fox and Friends, however.
But I will give it a try.

  14. Sorry Sam, many of us watch Glenn Beck. And he’s on three times a night, so be sure to add up each of his time slots to accurately determine the number of people in his audience.

  15. Wouldn’t it be funny if they hired away Soleded and Miles from CNN and let them build the morning show that THEY wanted and it had phenomenal ratings?

  16. Tucker can’t even get ratings on his own damn show.

Lurker: But I’ll bet he’ll do better than Stephanie “Scratch” Miller!

Waste of time. Put Laura Ingraham on.

Laura had her run on MSNBC. I doubt she would return.

  17. Larry Elder is a great choice and I’m very happy “The Sage from South Central is getting a shot.

  18. Ira you shouldn’t defend Tucker too, over his 2 years at MSNBC he has had his fair share of “scratches”.

    Comment by Sam — May 2, 2007 @ 9:26 pm

  19. Please Missy neither of his two time slots do very well. I dont think Neilson works that way, you cant just add numbers for repeats, or else LK would actually be in the top 3 and AC would be in the top 10. Infact if you want a better picture of his relative competitiveness just check the programme ranker.

    Comment by Sam — May 2, 2007 @ 9:41 pm

  20. Sam: Since he moved from the 11pm ET slot, I don’t believe that Tucker has ever scratched.
