darkpower: I am not sure where your rant is coming from or why you felt compelled to put it on this thread, but please go back to the KO forum or the other KO fan boards where no real discussions take place, just constant Olbermann fawning. ICN (& Spud) actually provides a forum where people can agree and disagree and are for the most part very civil to each other. Yes there are people who feel strongly about their favorite biased cable show hosts, but is this the place to rant about some goofy anti-olbermann website? You come off as nutty as they are.

Chaz, I don't know about this being a conservative website, but I do know that OW cronies go anywhere and EVERYWHERE and will do absolutly ANYTHING to slime Olbermann, and no line has not been crossed yet (they already slimed then Rutgers team that got the brunt of ther Imus comment just to get a cheap shot at Olbermann, and used the Virginia Tech dead in order to get yet another cheap shot). Plus, Richard Cox, the idiot that runs OlbermannWatch (OW, for those not familiar with that ackronym) and JohnnyDollar are both the slimiest conservatives around on the internets. Dollar is worse on what he'll do to "F" up Olby (he's the one that slimed the VT dead in one OW "Countdown recap"). Cox controversies are spread all over the net, from using OW to jumpstart it's otherwise comatose Media Bloggers Association, to harrassing people via e-mail for who they don't agree with him (there was a link I saw that had LONG e-mail exchange, I'll have to find it again, but there have been some people that report that who don't agree with him get their e-mail addresses published without permission, which is a HORRIBLE move), and all one needs to say is "karmabites1" to stir up ALOT of controversy (and who do you think were behind THAT crazy 110% of the way?). Simpily put, Cox and "Dollar" are two slimy people that need to be put into their place. Oh, and they don't even LOOK at the ratings, assuming that KO is ALWAYS in last place.

But I'm not seeing the Rosie thing happening on MSNBC when their ratings have gotten enomously better now. My take is that CNN might want her to replace Nancy Grace. That is the REAL person, in my mind, that needs to go away.

If Rosie ends up with a "regular show" on FNC than I know "hell has truly frozen over" and the apocolypse is at hand. Can you imagine BO saying stand by for Hannity & Rosie???

I think this is a terrific idea. Rosie's brilliant mind would overwhelm everybody she disagrees with.

Just look at the way she dissected the "truth" about 9/11, and the professional manner she debated with Tom Selleck about guns (while she was the spokesperson for mass gun-selling Walmart), or her brilliant analogy between Iran kidnapping the British soldiers and the Gulf of Tonkin incident.

She's not only a great commentator, she's also apparently a physicist, constitutional law expert, and has an encyclopedic knowledge of history.

By all means, MSNBC should hire her right away to give their network credibility. Between her and Olbermann, that could corner the market on true journalism.

The cable news audience is a different group of viewers than the type that is attracted to "The View". Anyway, Rosie wants 10 million $$$$'s per YEAR. If we are correct and Olbermann did get his 4 million -- I would love to see his face if she were hired for millions more!

Believe me I am no fan of BO, but Rosie won't work unless she was on FNC like Geraldo. FNC would be smart to use her as well as I-man and you never know they might just do that. I know one thing she will not work on MSNBC or CnN, NBC, CBS. If people really want to hear her it will be on a cable program. You have to pay for it. I knew Katie(Perky) Couric was not going to do well and I was right about Rosie and Donahue, prove me wrong once again, it will never happen. People are tired of the far left as well as the far right or the snoots or suits that think they are better than everyone or know more. The U.S. does not revolve around New York, Washington or Calf.

I agree Ira. Her best venue would be something like Maher where they won't need to edit her so often. She will be free to curse, grab her crotch, as well as a multitude of things that wouldn't be allowed at MSNBC. I don't think MSNBC, or cable news for that matter, could handle her.

Jim - How would this give NBC credibility? She is a conspiracy theorist whose hatred for all things republican makes her sound like she is off her meds. I cannot fathom house RoD could possibly give any sort of credibility to anything. Disagree with the Pres./administration/rep's all you want, but do it in a way that is coherent and logical. She sounds like a lunatic.

Jim: Ignore him and maybe he will go away!

The best vehicle for Rosie is a late-night HBO talk show similar to Bill Maher.

With five libs versus one conservative augmented by a highly-biased audience, Rosie can do what she does best; be a loud-mouthed, ignorant bully!

"fnc has bill o’reilly spouting out the mouth" I don't know about this analogy. Rosie rants that the Supreme Court shouldn't have judges who believe in God ( she calls this separation of church and state ) or Bush blew up Bld 7, and on and on. Bill rants mostly about pedophiles getting off easy, or the far left taking over the country. I don't think he has promoted loony-right idealogy.

I think I like this idea. At least she's not a coward like Dobermann and will debate people she doesn't agree with.

I think it would be sort of interesting. Oh, I'm not saying I'd watch, I'd just get a kick out of watching everyone here have grand mal seizures. I'm cruel that way.

If you look at the MS-NBC line up, none of hosts are really "news/journalism" guys. Tucker, Matthews & Scarborough are all pundits, Olbermann is traditional broadcaster who does a pundit-like "news" program. So I think she would not be to out of place there (nor "elevate" the other four to be more "newsy"). They should try her in the morning slot. If FOX really wanted to be "fair & balanced" they should hire her. Don't know how much "news" would be covered, but the ratings would be pretty big.

BTW: Does anyone else think that FOX may be laying the groundwork to bring IMUS in? I was flipping around the channels and caught Hannity grilling Sharpton on if he would protest an IMUS return. Sharpton said they would "watch" him and not boycott his sponsors. Interesting...

Rosie O'Donnell was the very last guest on the very last Donahue show before it was cancelled. Donahue people will tell you that the ax had been at their throat for months before it dropped, and her appearance was the reason it dropped when it did (as opposed to waiting a day/week/month...it was inevitable, but she helped pick the exact date). Thompson's dream could never ever happen.

sounds like a silly rumor, given the constant talk from O'Reilly about her. I sincerely doubt MSNBC would dare jeopardize whatever little foothold they have in the ratings by moving Olbermann's show. If they were to add Rosie to the lineup, I see her replacing Scarborough, or coming after him in some late-night talk show type vehicle.

Rosie is not going to catch up to Bill O. She is too offensive, especially the 9/11 remarks or the radical christians. We have KO rants, do we need more. If my memory serves me wasn't it Phil Donohue suppose to kill the ratings at Fox.
