“1/2 Hour” returns…
As noted Monday, FNC will beging airing new episodes of the 1/2 H0ur News Hour starting this Sunday…
FOX News Channel (FNC) will debut the first of the 13 episode order of the 1/2 Hour News Hour (HHNH) on Sunday, May 13th at 10PM/ET. New episodes and encore presentations will continue throughout the summer on consecutive Sunday evenings.
Developed by 24 Executive Producer Joel Surnow, the 30-minute show is a satirical reflection of news issues and current events, delivered by actors Kurt Long and Jenn Robertson. Surnow and Manny Coto serve as the executive producers.
FNC ordered two episodes of the HHNH in late 2006, which were presented this past winter. Both shows averaged nearly 1.4 million viewers, a 61% increase over the first quarter of 2007, and more than 400,000 Adults 25-54, a 113% increase over the same period.

The smart thing would to have this program on the main fox networks, not the news channel, unless fnc stands by the views on the the 1/2 H0ur News Hour.. i guess thats why we don’t see the daily show on cnn or msnbc….
and this comment does not make me a lefty or lib, its just the facts..

On the related note of returning fox shows - I suppose Michelle Malkin and Kirsten Powers’ show is not slated for a second chance. Too bad, because I think they had the makings of a decent program if they had worked on it.
As for the 1/2 hour news hour, I think it can be a winner as well if they get better comedy writers.
The big winner so far in my book is Red Eye - that show deserves a better time slot (how about midnight EST after the O’Reilly rerun) because I think it has found its groove and has turned out into a quirky, entertaining program.

I too wish that they would put Red Eye on earlier. I don’t have Tivo so I can’t watch it. I saw it a couple Saturdays ago when they aired it around 8PM or so. I like that guy that sits next to the woman with the long dark hair. I don’t remember his name but he made me laugh a couple of times out loud.

In the commercial it has the male anchor falling out of frame because he is leaning too far to the right. Was that intentional or a subconscious decision?

I love it!!! I would like to see it put in a prime time slot. Not very many people I know have seen it.
