I hope they don’t bring that John Ridley guy back on! Wonder if they can get Charles and the crew back on with him?

GROAN! He was the worst! With everyone talking over everyone else….he’s not able to get good people on with him. THey are REALLY desperate!

Flailing, Flailing, Flailing…HA, HA, HA, HA!
(childess, I know)
To quote Sunmer Redstone (Chairman, CBS Corp) after the Don Imus fiasco
“Do The Right Thing” Get rid of all of them and start over.
Such incompetence, Such short sidedness.
The sky is falling, The sky is falling. Get the Duct Tape!
Let us all join together and assist in destroying a man’s life and achievements. Let us label him a “Racist.”
Let us do this in the name of “The Almighty Dollar.”
How do you all sleep at night?

Why don’t they just let Imus guest host for a week? That would give them some good PR, boost ratings, and let the people know what they are missing!

I’d like to see Stephanie back. She would be able to adapt her radio show to television. Great interview with her at Inside Radio.

Hey Harley, that’s good idea. After watching Imus for nearly ten years, now that he’s gone, I realize how much I miss his show. The recent group of guest hosts make me really appreciate Imus.

Joe has got a lot of people fooled over there.
Dan Abrams even copied Joe’s whole shtick for the full hour last night. The typical class clown.
Dan is hot, and I like some of that foolishness, but I finally tired of it.
Why not Tucker?
Comment by Cella — May 25, 2007 @ 10:23 am
Duh! I have instructed my Missus to wake me up when it’s all over. When does this exercise in futility ever end? Hey, there’s only one Imus, and those pretenders can never replace him. Hear?

Not necessarily. Blogsome is hosted out of the UK so the spelling may be correct for the locale. Just like they spell “color” with a “u” added to make “colour”…

any news on the lawsuit the IMan is doing to CBS? I heard they were ready for an immediate countersuit. After the IMan’s attorney, Garbus, appeared on CNN a few days in a row, it’s been REAL quiet…maybe they’re trying to work it out without suing each other. I also heard IMan is trying to get back on the air. Karmazin isn’t talking with him. Sirius doesn’t have the $$$, and the potential merger with XM is very, very uncertain.
Comment by cas — May 25, 2007 @ 11:00 am
“Morning Joe” brought virtually nothing to the table, but at least we don’t have to witness brief bits of Tucker being Tucker {with C. Brewer..ugh!}, Jim Cramer with his sleeves already rolled up at 6:05am, or Ms. Miller sweating profusely within seconds {the other pseudo-hosts aren’t even worth hammering}. Just go and produce a news block, MSNBC….and remain light-years behind Fox and mired behind the virtually unwatchable CNN.
Say…..What are Maury & Connie doing these days??? You could ask Rick Kaplan when he gets fired from CBS News to dig THEM up……
Comment by Nick D. — May 25, 2007 @ 11:25 am
I would like to suggest Don Imus could do a spot on the new XM Radio station devoted to the 2008 presidential election.
That would be wild. I don’t have XM but I’d get it just for that.
I read XM will have Call-in shows, archival audio from historic moments in past campaigns and candidate interviews.
It’s my guess they won’t have any past interviews where any of these candidates were on the Don Imus show.
If I were planning this. I’d have everyone of the past interviews with Imus run the first week non-stop.
Now, that would be priceless and oh what ratings.

Jeeze, Imus is never coming back to TV, his 400 thousand viewers weren’t impressive enough for any network to hire him. Firing him from MSNBC actually gives them a chance to take over CNN, because a permanent replacement on the air who doesn’t just talk about lame mainstream country music and his latest doctors visit can’t do worse.
Comment by Will — May 25, 2007 @ 12:47 pm
Cas, do your REALLY think that Karmazin hasn’t talked to Imus? I hear they’re really good friends.
Comment by harleyquinn92 — May 25, 2007 @ 12:55 pm
I enjoyed joe the most of all the subs….he was loosy goosey (probably from lack of sleep!) craig crawford joined in as well as charles and the sports guy….he’s the only one who didn’t make me miss imus so much
Comment by leslie — May 25, 2007 @ 1:01 pm
Will obviously doesn’t understand Imus’ show was a radio show broadcast on tv….he was actually better on the radio, I think, especially Rob and Larry. I spent many years commuting into Boston w/ the I-man as my company. Of course, when I stopped working to stay w/ the kiddies I watched him on tv and it was by far the best show on in the morning.
I actually turned on Jim Cramer this morning for a few minutes and felt bad for him. I’s fans don’t loath him like we do the back stabbers so it was painful.
I wish they’d just let Imus do the show from the phone like he used to when he was sick or had problems at the Ranch! We can call himself Bob or something.
I was turning the channel last night and saw Dan Abrams - what did he do to his chin?
Comment by Melanie — May 25, 2007 @ 1:34 pm
harleyquinn92, sure IMan and Karmizan have talked-plenty..it’s just that Karmazin’s hands are tied, and he can’t offer him anything…now, and probably ever….
Comment by cas — May 26, 2007 @ 6:16 am
You can put on anybody in the 6 to 9 am time slot on MSNBC. I have chosen not to watch since Imus was fired. I have also chosen not to watch any programs on MSNBC, CBS or NBC. ABC is the only network available now, and I don’t watch it either. I’ve found morning local radio again; and even day and night radio. I find I’m not missing television much after almost two months. Oh; I have also chosen not to buy products from Proctor & Gamble, GE, Staples, Nextel (I don’t even watch NASCAR anymore) and the GM SUV I was planning on buying has turned into a Toyota. I have also saved a lot of money since canceling my subscription to Newsweek magazine; and, I no longer have to buy any of the books by any of the Newsweek regular reporters.
Comment by Julie — May 27, 2007 @ 12:55 pm
let them fill the slot with anyone from 6a-9a, I’m getting my beauty sleep….as being without IMUS, I’m feeling mighty ugly….BOYCOTTING MSNBC/CBS
Comment by Ms. M — May 27, 2007 @ 4:02 pm
The situation with Imus reminds me of that movie “Field of Dreams” build it and they will come…put Imus back on air and people will watch and listen. The reason they are in a pickle MSNBC is because they villified Imus.
Comment by Ree — May 27, 2007 @ 10:08 pm
All,
I have a new link to view just click on my name Ree also who is Morning Joe’s sponsors? a coffee company? Imus Ranch offers a Coffee brand on their Imus Ranch Webpage.

I have tried them all, pitiful, lame and all trying so hard to be funny it is painful to watch. BRING BACK the IMAN. No one can fill his shoes nor replace the funny, insightful and critical commentary he brought to his viewers and listeners. MSNBC morning news has driven me back to my local network.
Comment by jox — May 29, 2007 @ 7:30 am
Watching MSNBC in the morning without Imus is like going to the zoo and finding out they removed the lions.
