Jeff Koinange has been BAD! He needs rehabilitation only state prison can provide. And maybe we’ll see him on a special edition of MSNBC’s highly rated Lockup!

Terance: So what is going on with management at your favorite network? Their people are dropping like flies! :)
Comment by Ira — May 29, 2007 @ 8:18 pm
Ira, you should know by now I don’t have a favorite network! Only favorite individuals at all the cable and broadcast news networks. But, along with favorites has to come undesirables…and that list far outweighs the others. I saw some of Kimberly Dozier on LKL the other day and she seemed really nice.

This is only the beginning:

Its a large and disturbing history…

The fact that he was screwing around on his wife has nothing to do with his job. I don’t think they should have fired him for it.
For once, I agree with you, Mary, if this is indeed why he was fired. But who knows? And if it IS why he was fired, he’s got pretty strong grounds for a wrongful termination suit. White guys screw around (and some even wind up in vengeful groupie blogs - *ahem* - KOff KOff) without losing their jobs over it…

at least mary didnt blame klein for this..at least not yet..i guess ‘mary’ will let ‘the mole’ do that on the cnn reporter message board huh?

Arthur, there is a big difference between “hittin’ and runnin’” and date rape. Plus, if CNN kept him on the payroll, all the haters would of said they condoned date rape. Something tells me the reason Mary Snow disagrees with the firing is because he/she was an intern who got fired from CNN. However, thats just a wild guess….
Comment by Terance — May 29, 2007 @ 8:51 pm
No, Terance, we’re pretty sure we know who ‘Mary’ is and it’s not the intern.
I realize that there’s a huge difference between being a cad and being a rapist, but I certainly hope CNN isn’t going on someone’s unsupported word. I don’t know if you recall, but Tucker Carlson was accused of rape several years ago. Turned out to be a completely delusional stalker and he could PROVE he was elsewhere, but people DO make stuff up and people who appear on TV are often targets.

This is a wild story. I know that there are two sides to every story, and as of now, I have an open mind. We’ll see how it plays out. But this incident involves serious allegations. It looks like CNN dropped Jeff like a hot potato. When you throw in the violence, and the fact that Jeff is married, this looks worst than a typical date rape.
Has anyone thought about how Oprah is going to deal with this? Oprah and Jeff seemed to be best of pals. He’s been on her show several times and he frequently does CNN pieces about Oprah’s new girls school.

…more specifically, there is supossedly medical evidence proving that the victim in question sought medical attention. Also, Jeff’s threats, documented by e-mail, are somewhat alarming.

Arthur, I didn’t hear about Tucker Carlson…. But, in America we like to assume people are guilty until proven innocent. I know that sounds kind of backwards but its true. And the threat JK conveyed didn’t help matters or support innocence.

Terance, I admit I only read a little of the alleged victim’s ‘blog’ - her creative color and font choices make it pretty difficult going - but I would certainly want to see some cyberforensics on any putative emails from anyone, or at least know that this information had been looked at by appropriate authorities and verified as coming from the person it purports to come from. Spoofing someone’s email address is just too easy, and there’s a LOT of weird blogs out there claiming a LOT of weird stuff on the part of public people that simply aren’t true. I could send you threatening email that appeared to come from the White House if I wanted to.
Comment by Arthur — May 30, 2007 @ 11:23 am
Arthur, if it wasn’t true, CNN wouldn’t of fired him and he’d be trying to clear his name. Has JK publicly said anything about this yet? Plus the difference between you spoofing an email to me from the white house is we weren’t meeting in a hotel! See, the whole thing is he was at the scene of the crime. Its different when some “loony stalker” just makes stuff up on a blog and thinks they actually have a relationship with someone on tv. (for instance)

Jeff has embarrassed his family and Kenyans. How could he do this to his wife. Shame on you Jeff , SHAME ON YOU.
You have left a bad taste on my mouth.
