Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo! (Update)
Johnny Dollar has the audio from Matt Drudge’s radio show where FNC’s Roger Friedman speculates that Rosie O’Donnell will end up at MSNBC. He also says that NBC paid for access to Larry Birkhead by using NBC Universal poperty Bravo as a shield…

She’d certainly fit in there politically, but someone with her notoriety would consider MSNBC “small potatoes” I would think.
Comment by Missy — June 25, 2007 @ 9:56 am
Same here I don’t think MSNBC can afford Rosie O’Donnell.
Comment by Ree — June 25, 2007 @ 10:43 am
Yeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeees! If any of you were paying attention to me a few weeks ago in one of my comments right here, I wrote Rosie to MSNBC. She will end up with a package deal between the two networks NBC, MSNBC to pay her, and she will have the MSNBC primetime political platform to annihilate the competition. The ‘Price is Right’ talk was/is all a smokescreen.
I have warned many of you to watch your comments about MSNBC, the are reorganizing, and moving their studios to NYC proper. There will be other adjustments that may just take some by surprise. So stay tuned…

People: Don’t hold your breath. This is a story that began July 15, 1996 with no end in sight! :)

Roger Friedman tosses around half-baked notions every day, and is constantly peppering his reports with inaccuracies that he doesn’t correct. For example, when he’s not kissing the butts of Rosie and Michael Moore, he’s calling seminal 70s progressive rock band rush an “80s hair metal band” or getting the details wrong about the song list of The Police’s tour opener in Canada. He’s sloppy, and seems to be more about making known his opinions of people than he is about accurate entertainment reporting. He’s probably just writing about Rosie to keep her in the public eye somewhat. When you count how many times he praises her in his pieces, it becomes obvious that his stuff is not to be taken too seriously.

So ya think…?

Pp is assuming that people actually read his posts.

MSNBC can have Rosie - didn’t watch The View and don’t watch NBC/MSNBC anymore. Does anyone? Rosie will be a nightmare to whoever hires her but her fans deserve to hear her, so let NBC have her. She and Keith Olbermann, now there’s a pair.
Comment by Mel — June 25, 2007 @ 2:40 pm
Pp,
“I have warned many of you to watch your comments”?
Is this the Gestapo? Are you nutz?
Rosie would be just another nail in the coffin of MSNBC.
Comment by Cella — June 25, 2007 @ 2:48 pm
“I have warned many of you to watch your comments”? That sure is creepy Peoplepeople. Keep trying to convince us that you do not work for NBC/MS-NBC. Peoplepeople is an (in the words of Keith Olbermann)”effen plant”
Comment by Obama in 08! — June 25, 2007 @ 3:14 pm
Actually, Rosie would make KO look sane.
Comment by eddiebear — June 25, 2007 @ 3:46 pm
Maybe MSNBC is hiring Rosie in an attempt to make Olbermann look sane in comaprison?

Such a little world for you people, isn’t it? All in good jest, very few of you actually have an inkling of what is really going on.
Comment by Peoplepeople — June 25, 2007 @ 4:07 pm
And judging by their ratings, neither does anyone at NBC-Universal.
Comment by Alison — June 25, 2007 @ 4:35 pm
I guess MSNBC has a huge craft services budget and no other way to spend it.
Comment by Amused — June 25, 2007 @ 4:51 pm
I watch MSNBC and I will skip Rosie’s show. The 9/11 conspiracy theorists will tune in, I won’t.
Comment by Goldfish — June 25, 2007 @ 5:48 pm
NBC/MSNBC fires Stone Phillips and Brian williams weekend replacement and won’t pay Brown more money but will hire Rosie, and pay KO up to 4 million. There priorities are all screwed up.
Comment by Alix — June 25, 2007 @ 5:58 pm
I’m with Hurocket(#5)on this one: Roger Friedman does throw around half-baked notions…lots of speculation and things that can’t be verified. Obviously, he does have a certain stable of sources, and he does break stories occasionally. We’ll see…I’d be shocked if MSNBC hires Rosie.
Comment by Objective Analyst — June 25, 2007 @ 6:52 pm
If this story is true, and I pray to God it’s not–that woman is a nervous breakdown waiting to happen–then it is just further proof that NBC/MSNBC/CNBC and the powers-that-be who are supposedly running it don’t have a clue as to what the American public really want to see.
Comment by Alison — June 25, 2007 @ 7:17 pm
You all are ‘nervous’ because you know in your hearts, it’s a fabulous move by Danny-boy, and Rosie would slaughter the competition. Period. She’s says outlandish things, and everyone (not everyone, but a lot) would be tuning in to see what they can attack her for the following day. You know it’s true.
Comment by Peoplepeople — June 25, 2007 @ 11:55 pm
Didn’t I say that this would happen a few months ago?
I did… I’ll give myself a cookie and a pat on the back.
Mmmm… Oreos.
Comment by ImNotBlue — June 26, 2007 @ 12:11 am
MSNBC isn’t going to want anything to do with her, they still remember Mike Savage. And do you honestly think they’re letting Dan run prime time on MSNBC? Thats why they only gave him the general manager title. They realized they could save a lot of money by giving him a slight rase and canceling his show instead of paying some new president millions of dollars to do it. The big decisions are still left to the grown ups.

Dude, I’m going back to calling you Dan Abrams, your comments are just do darn creepy.
NBC/MS-NBC can not hire Rosie fast enough. Its all about ratings folks, look at the hit The View took when Rosie left. I can hardly wait. Should be a hoot!
