Catherine Herridge’s London ties…

FNC’s National Correspondent Catherine Herridge has been covering the London bombing bust up from Washington D.C. all day. Herridge’s significant role in FNC’s coverage today is due to the fact that she used to be based in London and, like any good reporter would do, has maintained her contacts and sources from when she lived there.

  1. I have an alert from Fox News at 15:53: SKY NEWS REPORTS SECOND MERCEDES RIGGED TO EXPLODE FOUND IN CENTRAL LONDON

Jesus.. The second car bomb was reported by CNN since 14:29… There was a simulcast in CNN from CNN Newsroom reporting this.

In the past few minutes, at 15:35 both BBC and Sky News break about it and has been just confirmed by Scotland Yard at 15:48.

Where is the real news channel?

  3. Interesting. Man, I wasn’t here for the Studio B hour, but why can’t FNC just turn off their L3s when they simulcast Sky News for these events, it just look idiotic especially with the combination of FNC’s obsession with colors over Sky’s kinda basic red + white setup.

  4. Catherine Herridge is so boring!
There is no spark in any of her reports. And I simply turn to another channel when she is on.
What a disappointment that she got the Saturday Weekend Live job.

  5. imo, Molly will probably end up with the Saturday Weekend gig.

She’s proven to be a terrific anchor.

  6. A solid and dispassionate reporter who knows her business. She reports on serious news of the day and does not need to be too talkative like Chris Matthews or hateful like Olberman. Cella needs somebody like Howard Stern or Oprah Winfrey with their frivolous shows.

  7. Cathrine Herridge….Solid reporter..Knows her stuff….When I am looking for information and understanding of issues I know I can count on her…

I dont look to her to be entertained….But then I dont turn on the news to be entertained either…

  8. Catherine’s a fine reporter, alright. Actually, I believe FNC has the best reporters in the field of all the news networks..imho

Molly Hennenburg will probably land the that Weekend anchor position. She’s a natural at it.

  9. her PR person was working overtime to get this write up. CNN still has the international news realm wrapped up.

  10. She lived in London over a decade ago, her sources from the mid-90’s have either moved on or are dead. Nice try, though. CNN had this in the bag.

  11. Well, I guess I am guilty of liking Catherine, she always seems to be on the ball for information and doesn’t seem as much of political hack as some of the other hosts on the network. If anything, one of the more neutral people on the network.
