Guess that sound outage really hit “Morning Blow” demo figures (or at least it gives him an excuse for poor ratings for 1 day)…although I wonder why 33k doesn’t constitute a scratch in this case?

Wow, look at the difference between LKL’s 8 and 9pm hours. I guess no one got “word” that PZ *wasn’t* going to be on…

#2, LKL at 8 was a repeat; at 9, was live with Michael Moore.
Comment by Arthur — July 2, 2007 @ 7:56 pm
Ok, Arthur. I’m really interested to see what Beck’s numbers will look like at 8pm on CNN.
Comment by Terance — July 2, 2007 @ 7:59 pm
Anonymous and Hmmm,
A scratch means less than a 1 share. If it was a scratch, Spud would have reported it as such.

I saw the ‘Morning blow’ this morning… Jesus! Was very booooooring!
Comment by Rodrigo — July 2, 2007 @ 8:50 pm
KO is doing a special comment tomorrow on Bush and Cheney resigning. Are there any standards left at MSDNC?
Comment by Alix — July 2, 2007 @ 8:55 pm
According to TVN Joe’s demo was only 52K before the audio blew.
Comment by Jim — July 2, 2007 @ 9:03 pm
Hehe, Shep got lower overall ratings than Brit Hume, but quite a bit more demo. I wonder just how much of that extra demo is female, lol. They don’t come much easier to look at (or listen to!) than Shep Smith!

Wow, FOX & Friends is closing in on 1 million viewers! Of course, the news that was breaking on Friday out of London probably had something to do with the larger numbers. Still, it’s clear that Gretchen is holding her own and isn’t dragging down ratings like some had predicted. AM on Cnn had better numbers as well, but as is usually the case, when they get good numbers, FOX gets even better numbers! Kiran needs to lay off the Red Bull or whatever it is she’s gulping down in the mornings. She looks so uncomfortable as she fidgets and squirms in her seat. How about Campbell Brown for AM? Anyone think she would be a good match with John Roberts? I know it’s reported that she’s being considered for prime time on Cnn, but I almost think she’d be better for a morning slot. Cnn’s prime time lineup is never going to seriously compete with FOX, no matter who they put there.

KO strikes out again. 4th! Ouch. No wonder we have a Speshul Komment tomorr.w
Comment by Edward Schatz — July 2, 2007 @ 9:43 pm
Everybody stand back KO is going to give us his super “Special comment ” tomorrow calling for Bush to resign and we all know the weight KO words have so O’l Bush should be gone by Wednsday…..my god this guy is so full of it he probably really believes his words have weight on a subject that no one outside the beltway give one fig about.

#11, California dreamin, I think you just might have something there. Campbell Brown with John Roberts or what about Paula Zahn with John Roberts! Hmmmm…
Comment by Noelle — July 2, 2007 @ 9:55 pm
Campbell or Paula would be a good choice. Is Paula’s contract with Cnn almost up? Are they going to find a new place for her on the network or is she through at Cnn?
Comment by california dreamin — July 2, 2007 @ 10:00 pm
John Roberts does not have the “it” factor.
Comment by julie — July 2, 2007 @ 10:00 pm
Roberts may not have the “it” factor, but he does have loads of experience. He is one of the best political insiders around and has covered many world events. I think he’s really dull, but you can’t deny that he brings a lot to the table in terms of knowledge.

Got it 6.
… Still waiting for the drum roll.
Said it on Friday about the funny business regarding that slot and the numbers. Don’t have a calculator but if 31k isn’t a scratch it just skipped by with 800 to spare.
so I stand by - “It does (is)”.

This site is baised beyond belief. How do you stay in business? Let me answer my own question, Fox News.
Comment by Anthony — July 3, 2007 @ 1:20 am
Anthony — You really should read more before you judge — The regulars on this site are close to equal, right and left. Many have views that will surprise you depending on the topic. But let me assure you that Spud is “NOT” baised in favor of Fox News.
Comment by Aunt Mary — July 3, 2007 @ 1:52 am
Anthony’s right, this site is infested with right wing hacks who like to make every thread about KO. Personally I could care less about this man. So, keep it up and don’t be surprised when the post count drops even further.
Comment by Terance — July 3, 2007 @ 7:05 am
I think the main reason for the KO obsession is that the MSM, including all the left-wing newspapers, etc. deluged the public with fawning articles ( hundreds of them ) touting Keith as the next Murrow and saying he was in a solid second place behind Bill O. Many took exception with this notion.
Comment by Jim — July 3, 2007 @ 7:13 am
and the ‘many’ choose to bore the rest of us who just want to read and discuss cable news without the pathetic political sniping. Spud tries to keep it balanced to his credit but you can see why an outsider would think this is a right-wing blog with the type of comments that get posted.
Comment by Mr A — July 3, 2007 @ 9:48 am
Morning Joe, boring - I gave up on it a few weeks ago because it is so stupid. Joe sure knows how to ruin an interview. I love the idea of Campbell Brown in the morning on CNN - I’d watch that until Imus returns in September.
Comment by jules — July 3, 2007 @ 10:01 am
Still waiting for clarification on 31k. - I say scratch.
Maybe all the lefties should boycott like the courageous DNC of Fox.
That would really get ‘em. Yeah.
