Remember how FNC is always letting people know there is a difference between their news and opinion programming? Perhaps they've decided to draw the line a little darker.

I guess I am the only fan of some of the changes to the Fox Report, though I will admit the whole continuous news thing to sudden break drove me nuts initially and I kinda wish they would being back the G-Block.

Even so, I guess this is just evolution and it's getting mixed reviews, though Shepard's numbers looked pretty good the other night.

i actually like the new graphics for studio b...the ones that are used for FNL and pretty much all the other shows are pretty boring with the purple red and blue banner. studio b's banner is a little more exciting and colorful. it was weird how the graphics were blue and red and then a month or 2 later it went to the purple...kinda weird...

Its like they are trying to make Studio B an afternoon Fox Report. 98% of the Fox Report is boring anyway, apart from breaking news, Jonathan Hunt and Sheps now RARE funny (bring back the GBLOCK!)

I hate the new graphics on studio b. They look so werid. I wish they would take them off and just use the nornal Fox News Live graphics...or make some new nice ones for studio b.

Have the ratings been postive towards the changes?

I totally agree with you guys...the format has all changed for the worse. Even Shepard is not as good as he used to be on Studio B. Skinnerville had gotten so awkward, I really do wonder if they've done away with it and have Friel taking that spot (even though it's not at 3:30) because Shep always tries to chat with her, but she's so clueless, she can't do anything that's not scripted.

Last time Studio B came from the newsroom, the cameraman found O'Reilly casually sitting at a desk and Shepard was going nuts...that sort of fun element seems all but gone now...

I'm starting not to care anymore either. 'Studio B' brought me to FNC, but I don't understand the changes and it's driving me away. Sure, Shep makes the shows. But it's the format themselves that share in some of that watchability. I also miss Shep's cheesy show slogans, and the teasers, AND "Skinnerville." Everytime I hear "Next..." and then cut to commercial it just makes me want to change the channel.

Totally agree with Craig. It's so boring now that Skinnerville, JD the Weather Machine and the teasers have got the boot. The last time Studio B was in the newsroom it was far less serious, fun and very informative when they went around and spoke to people.

Right now all the fun has gone and to be honest I don't really watch anymore. I don't want seriousness at 3PM - that's for an evening newscast.

I hate how serious Studio B has got. Bring back the opening titles. Bring back Skinnerville and bring back the teasers before breaks... none of this "next" business.

Courtney Friel is boooringggg. I don't think they know what to do with her seeing that she's so useless at everything. Makes me wonder why they hired her when she lacks any real knowledge or talent. And that's not a tan on Shepard Smith, that's bronzer. He wears more makeup than the Fox women.

Actually Chris, it's because of lighting. Firstly, because too much light glares on television sets, and makes it hard for operators to see what's going on. That's why most studios are very dark.

Secondly, and more importantly, it's because of the different temperature of natural daylight versus man-made light. Each comes in a different temperature, and therefore a different color. The naked eye usually can't pick up the color, but if you've ever seen a fluorescent light on video, they'll have either a green-ish, blue-ish, or purple-ish tint. Cameras can be adjusted for this through white balancing, but not when there are two different types of light sources. Additionally, you can't control outside light, so your shot can be either very bright or very dark, and can change quickly depending on the weather.

Hope that wasn't too technical/boring for you. All I know is I was happy when my school had "roof cam"... a camera on the top of the highest building. We could tune it in and pretend it was a window.

I like Studio B in the newsroom even if it's only a month, it's better than the horrible sets they have...I kept waiting for Shep to belt out Bohemian Rhapsody! Seriously, it would have been fine aside from the whole Friel "my arm looks fat segment." Unfortunately, Skinnerville seems to be no more...are we now going to be subjected Friel-ville?

Fox News has possibly the worst sets on television. They have "America's Newsroom" and yet it isn't even in a newsroom.

IMB, from an outsider's opinion, it's probably to make the people focus on their work vs. looking outside or whatever else.

Mr. A... you have never worked in TV. EVERY TV place is depressing like that. Even in college it was like that!

Depressing... cold... and dark are all good words to describe TV studios.

Craig, I think it was either the suit or the tie, it just doesn't suit him in my opinion and he should atleast stick with the black suits with white underneath, alike to the man next to him there.

Anyway, the only utilization of the newsroom was talking to the "Tim" guy about some breaking news, but really, I think the whole "Tim Cam" thing and whatnot are kind of cheesy like the MSNBC control room shots with the behind-the-scenes people talking/

Overall for the day though, it looks like Fox & Friends is back to their home in Studio A; America's Newsroom from Studio C; FNL w/ Jon/Hopkins from Studio A; Studio B from the Newsroom; and the FOX Report from Studio C w/ a different background on one of the screens I don't think I've seen before.

Shepard Smith said that they will be back in the new look studio in one months time.

I felt the Newsroom based studio b didnt really work that well. They should move his desk up their, and get a proper set sorted out.

Also shep looks weird today, am i the only one thinking this?
