Erin Burnett Q&A…

The New York Post has a Q&A with CNBC’s Erin Burnett…

Q: Do you get stopped on the street and propositioned by your fans on Wall Street?

A: Oh God, no. People who recognize me from the show have stopped me a few times, but it doesn’t happen often. In New York, there are a lot of real celebrities running around.

Q: How much e-mail do you get from obsessed viewers?

A: It’s flattering that people notice you, but some of the stuff is just weird. It comes in but I don’t respond to it. I guess it just comes with the job. I actually get a lot of really thoughtful and insightful e-mails from hedge-fund managers and brokers.

  1. Maria’s had a lot of big interviews in the past…. but she isn’t good with breaking news. On the other hand, Erin is great in that respect. So, my money is on the 31 year old. FBN would love to hire this extremely smart & beautiful honey! However, they’ll probably “settle” for Maria.

  2. Interviews like these make Erin look much more personable than Maria, who seems to be too into her “Money Honey” image and protecting her turf at CNBC. Interesting that while everyone touts the impressive gains Burnett has made, no one talks about Maria’s ratings (interesting that her 2 hours are the only two hours on the CNBC skid that are showing DECLINES — and she hosts the 2 most important hours of the business day!!)
