Comparing the ratings for the CNN/YouTube Debate with the ratings for the CNN New Hampshire Democratic Debate, CNN was down a bit across the board; down by 6% in Total Viewers and down by 21% in Demo Viewers (25-54)

The demo numbers for the debate is a typing error. It’s supposed to be a million (not a thousand).

The biggest problem they have is too many candidates and they are trying to fit in too many issues, leaving the viewer to hear 60 second responses to some pretty big questions.
I don’t know how many more of these are scheduled, but they should do at least one debate where they constrain the topics to 3 major ones - say the war against terrorism, health care and education (there are plenty more…just an example). This way the viewers could get a good idea of not only where the candidates stand but what they would do (with some depth).
