CNN/YouTube Debate not highest ever in 18-34 Demo: UPDATE…
TVNewser has some “clarification” on CNN’s 18-34 Demo claim. CNN is saying that was referring to “Primary Debates” and not General Election debates. Ok. Fair enough. That’s true. But isn’t that something that should have been spelled out in the original release?

Dude the problem is the MSM. So many journalists seem
to be upset that they could not play.Lets see it was just
the moderator, the candidates and citizens. Who was missing?
The reporters who usually ask questions.Tough.Life is
unfair. There is no way 2.6 mil can be considered a failure?
It’s July. The numbers will be way higher in September.I
guess that’s why they are trying to derail the debate.
Not going to happen. People are posting already. It waa also
smart of CNN to invite the public to say how they felt about
the debate. The people matter more than the critics.
I think we are witnessing a peak into CNN’s
coverage of the 2 to the oh 8 campaign season.
The Revolution will be televised.Savvy.

I’m not sure what Dustin’s post has to do with CNN lying.

The problem may lie with the integrity of the person in charge of CNN’s press releases. Why be dishonest and lie about the ratings when they were good and it was a successful endeavour (which is now overshadowed by these duplicitious actions?) Add in the Paula Zahn press disaster from this week and it becomes clear they have a much bigger problem on their hands.

As far as the questions go… There are pompous journalist and pompous YouTuber’s. With as much time to sort through questions as CNN had, the YouTuber’s can ask the exact same questions that the journalist would have asked anyways, but this way it feels interactive. Of course, journalist might have assumed that senators and congressman would know what a liberal is, so questions like that might not have been asked.
Not to mention that, adding in the CNN.com streaming numbers into the 18-34 demo, that’s only 644,315 viewers. Didn’t they cancel Paula Zahn for numbers that were higher than that? And taking away 18-34’s, it’s still 2,144,593 viewers. Young people just don’t care about the elections, at least, not yet. No matter how CNN tries to spin it.

For one thing, I don’t think Paula had so much to “decide” to leave in the same way that any of the 15 or so other on screen personalities have “decided” to leave by being fired under the current regime.
Okay, so CNN should have spelled out the specifics in the original email but it says more about them that they chose to lie, then had to go back and find an excuse for them saying the numbers were the “highest ever”.
So we all agree that this “debate” (question and answer period) had the highest ever delivery in the 18-34 (fake, lame made up) demo on a Monday night that started at 7 pm, moderated by a grey haired fellow, wearing a pinstriped suit who has dyslexia and a speech impediment that was hosted by YouTube and CNN which is run by a bunch of lying dictators who clearly have some mental problems, which is why they are compusive liars.
There all cleared up, now everyone happy?
