  1. The McDonald’s doc on CNBC last night was really facinating…it was extremely well done. Glad it got some decent numbers. Blabberman’s numbers, on the other hand, were pretty stinky as usual.

  2. If you look at Morning Joe to Dan Abrams (which got beat by CNBC on McDonals)how does Dan keep talking and congratulating them about the gains they keep making. Even their savior KO #s sucked.

  3. Tucker, fifth place. Ouch!

  4. Hardball not helpin olberman.
Always thought msnbc considered matthews one of their top talents. However he sits back in the pre primetime line up.

Lou Dobbs along with Matthews should both be competing against with tougher competition.

Kinda feel sorry for Abrams watching his own show get wip wallopped by hannity colmes and king.

Do think they ever dream of dethroning the mighty murdoch fox machine… Or is that like me dreaming that some day I will be rich??

You would think there would be a great equal number of liberal viewers excited about gettin there own network at msnbc or cnn….. I have always been impressed with how many loyal foxnews fans there are who of course are all conservative……

  5. This wasn’t a typical showing for Hardball, Clak. Does anyone know what happened?

  6. #5, Chris was doing a outdoor show in Wisconsin with Lance Armstrong for most of the show talking polotics and cancer.

  7. Does David Bauder of the Associated Press still “think” that 8 p.m. is “dominated” by Keith “Barely Third Place” Olbermann?

  9. O’Reilly has been slamming the Daily Kos web site because there have been hateful comments posted on it. Which is funny. If he were to similarly hold Michelle Malkin responsible for some of the comments that show up on her blog, well, let’s just say the hypocrite will never do that. And indeed, he’s said some pretty hateful things himself — especially on his radio show. But tonight was the funniest. Jane Hall — a Fox News person — was starting to mention that some hateful comments sometimes appear on O’Reilly’s own blog, and poor Bill got so scared that he cut her mik. If you can’t handle Jane Hall…

  10. #10 Gramps - I saw that tonight as well. Jane was being fair and mentioned that the offensive posts she was referring to was removed…I think the point she was making was that you’ll see extreme opinions like that pop up anywhere where there is an open forum. But I think Bill blanked out when she started mentioning them and thought she was accusing his website of “trafficking in hate” as the Daily Kos does….and off went the mic.

On his radio show on Wednesday he was talking about the Daily Kos and a caller took issue with his one-sided attack of the internet (attacking only the left, that is). He asked for an example from the right and the caller gave him one - FreeRepublic.com. It will be interesting to see if he is “fair and balanced” and follows up with an expose on that website, as there are many comments left on that site that rival the ones O’Reilly mentioned in regards to the Daily Kos.

  11. Dan is getting closer to “Scarborough Country” numbers and I bet Joe is hating his a.m. numbers. Does anyone think or know if it was Joe’s wishes to get the a.m. job or if he can go back to his primetime slot if he would like???

    Comment by Aunt Mary — July 27, 2007 @ 2:12 am

  12. Joe wants the morning job. He is primarily interested in ego tripping.

    Comment by Cella — July 27, 2007 @ 5:51 am

  13. The Daily Kos is the poster child of the mentality of the Far Left. Its a sewer of their metality.
Olbermann and MSNBC have pretty much confirmed, by trying to garner that crowd, just how small it is.

The FOX hate is cute. No matter how you cut it FOX ratings are not so consistently high “just because”. The years now of trying to discredit it or dismissing those who watch it as all being from one ideology(ridiculous) has failed..

    Comment by Brian — July 27, 2007 @ 5:56 am

  14. Is Kiran & John gaining on FNC? I’ve been watching them since Kiran left FNC. I understand theiy haven’t improved the ratings like anticipated.

    Comment by Bill — July 27, 2007 @ 7:17 am

  15. Don’t think so and not surprised. Kiran is more suited to a morning show like Fox and Friends. John Roberts is excellent and maybe if he was paired with an anchor who was more suited to this format AM might do better.

  16. It’s funny that I knew Daily Kos because of Bill Orielly. I’m sure that the daily people are enjoying all the free publicity that Mr. O is giving the.

    Comment by John — July 27, 2007 @ 9:37 am

  17. Love or hate Bill O’Reilly, the man puts on a great show. I’m an independent and find his show fair and balanced - I know people love to hate him but he always gives both sides. His radio show is very entertaining and the cable show with guests like Dennis Miller and the body language woman make it must see TV for us.

I gave Morning Joe a fair shot now for a few months now and have moved on to Robin & Company and/or Fox & Friends. The news woman is terrible and gets on my nerves. I’m happy to read today that Imus should be back soon though.

    Comment by Moonbeam — July 27, 2007 @ 10:57 am

  18. Anyone know what happened to Lola from AM haven’t seen her for a bit?

  20. You didn’t know about the Kos until then? Come on… Where have you been?

    Comment by ImNotBlue — July 27, 2007 @ 11:24 am

  21. turned the channel too quick I guess….I can only take small doses of Kiran. :P

    Thanks!

  22. ‘Jane Hall — a Fox News person’

Jane Hall is not a Fox “newsperson” .. . I think she is or was a journalism professor at American University. She only appears as a pundit - mostly on “Media Watch”.

    Comment by PF — July 27, 2007 @ 4:36 pm

  23. Jane Hall is officially a “Fox News Channel contributor.” She gets a regular paycheck from them, & appears regularly on “Fox News Watch,” and also appears here & there as a pundit on various Fox News Channel shows. So, yes, she is a Fox News Channel person. Of course, now that she’s tried to tell a truth about O’Reilly that he *REALLY* didn’t want to be told, she may not be a Foxs News Channel person for long….
