Martha MacCallum: There was a story reported yesterday, that when you and Michael Douglas first started dating, and I heard that you wouldn’t let him touch you, you wouldn’t let him kiss you for nine months, is that true, Catherine?
Catherine Zeta Jones: Yeah. Yes
Martha MacCallum: How’d you pull that off?
Catherine Zeta Jones: Well I’m sure he thought I was a man in drag or something ridiculous like that or something seriously wrong with me. Well, the reality is, I mean I knew that, talk about love at first sight, I knew there was an attraction there, but he was on the east coast doing a movie, this is like nearly eleven years ago now, and I was on the west coast. And I said well, what are we going to do? We’re not going to get “together” until we can spend some quality time together. I’m not going to invest in this relationship too much. I’m not going to get hurt or going to hurt somebody else so we dated for nine months, it was an old fashioned courtship”

That’s the girl for me. An old-fashioned woman whose specie is now on the endangered list. Despite their age disparities, the marriage has lasted and endured. Such a fresh breath of air after all the scandals from buffoons like Hilton, Lohan and Richie.
