Edwards vs. News Corp: More write-ups…

Former senator John Edwards, who has been throwing punches at Rupert Murdoch and his Fox News Channel, demanded yesterday that the other Democratic presidential candidates return contributions from Murdoch’s media conglomerate.
“John Edwards will never ask Rupert Murdoch for money — he won’t accept his money,” said a statement e-mailed to supporters.
Not so fast, Murdoch’s people say. His publishing unit, HarperCollins, paid Edwards a $500,000 advance — and $300,000 in expenses — for his 2006 book “Home: The Blueprints of Our Lives.”
“We assume the senator is going to give back the money from his advance,” News Corp. spokesman Brian Lewis said.
Edwards spokesman Eric Schultz said his boss donated the book payments to charity and that the expense money went to staffers and vendors. Citing the announcement that prompted Edwards’s e-mail — Murdoch’s $5 billion deal to buy Dow Jones — Schultz said, “This is about whether or not Murdoch should expand his media empire and use the Wall Street Journal to further promote his right-wing agenda.”
So John Edwards doesn’t like Capitalism? Edwards has how much money? Move On one of many Soros funded orgs is taking air punches at Murdoch using Edwards, who I REALLY REALLY don’t believe is going to make it through the primarys. Stick a fork in him, he is done but be careful, don’t mess up his coif, his coiffeur worked hard on it.

I just don’t get it! Why would you purposely go out and attack something, when you know that the response is going to be so quick and obvious back against you?! Now, Edwards is going to spend time defending himself, instead of trying to get his ridiculous message to look, less ridiculous.
It’d be like someone saying “Don’t eat McDonalds” while they’ve got used wrappers in the back of the car. “It wasn’t for me… it was these other guys who were in my car.”
Just a bad move all around.

This is nothing new for Edwards when he was attacking Wal-mart and claiming he wouldn’t shop there..he had one of his aids trying going to Wallyworld trying to snag an X-box or Playstation for him for his kids…
