I bet it has NOTHING to do with Iowa!

It would be ever nicen to have a face-to-face combbat. But McCain has been mortally wounded for his stand on illegal immigration, something he should have known coming from Arizona. Guiliani stands at the head of the crowd right now, while McCain has a lot of ground to cover just to get even, if he can ever do it. From BO, we expect a lot of tough questions, with no spinning.

Gab, they were smart not going to Iowa for the Straw Poll. Romney already had the thing bought and paid for. It wouldn’t have looked good to go there, invest time and money, and not win it. Plus, McCain didn’t have the money to do it anyway.
BTW, didn’t you used to post here under a different name? Just curious. I remember the link to your website, but believe the name was different.

I agree they were smart for not going…and now they get face time on the biggest cable news audience.
No, I haven’t posted here under another name, unless I did with my real name (Sarah) and don’t remember. Gab is actually my dog’s name and I used to use it post stuff online. I don’t know why I still do…I suppose I could go back to Sarah :-)

I believe it was under Sarah.
Anyone catch Fox News Sunday? Romney was absolutely grilled by Chris Wallace. Anyone who accuses him of being a partisan (i.e. the angry libs) needs to watch that interview.
They’re all in trouble when Fred finally jumps in.

bigred, I wanted to see Fox News Sunday but missed it. Did Romney tap Chris Wallace on the knee when things got tough? Ha ha! Seriously, what did he grill him on?
I am also waiting patiently for Fred. I don’t care for the “big three” though I was glad to see Huckabee on H&C tonight.

He pretty much grilled him on everything… his abortion flip, the straw poll victory not meaning much, driving with his dog in a kennel tied to the top of the famliy car, a statement he made about his son’s “serving their country” by working for his campaign instead of serving in the military.
Romney handled it all very well, because he’s been questioned on all this before, but it was still a hard- hitting interview. The type that the Dem candidates refuse to subject themselves to.
Fred will get in around Sept. 5, finally. I hope he does well.

Romney is too smooth for his own good…I imagine he handled it well. Thanks for the summary!

Romney did well with Walace. McCain did VERY well last night on O’Reilly. Huckabee is the dark horse - he could just come from behind and win.

I hope people get to know Huckabee better so he won’t be on the ticket. He has never seen a gift he didn’t like. Heaven help us.
