Oh would you look at that…Rick “look at me ma! i’m on TV” Sanchez was actually able to IMPROVE his numbers last night…to keep the momentum going, maybe tonight he’ll do jumping jacks while reading the news!
I’m sure Mary Snow will have a seizure after seeing that AC360 beat Greta in the demo last night…

Dear HLN, don’t use Susan Hendricks as a fill in for Erica Hill ever again! 99,000 viewers (a scratch with 49,000) YIKES!
Comment by Terance — August 15, 2007 @ 7:04 pm
Mary Snow’s just going to criticize 360 for covering Don Imus, but 360 generally covers Iraq and politics which don’t necessarily bring in the big ratings–most viewers want to see junk, which explains the ratings success of MSNBC’s doc bloc.

#3 - heh, Mary’s gotten so predictable that she doesn’t even have to post here any more. We can all pretty much guess what she’s going to say. Well, unless she goes off on a Jon Klein toot…
Comment by Arthur — August 15, 2007 @ 7:30 pm
True, Arthur. I’m guessing we’re in for another Klein toot pretty soon…
Comment by Marty — August 15, 2007 @ 7:41 pm
Break out the Kleenex. Keith didn’t come in third or fourth place so we can’t pretend that that the entire mainstream media thinks he has a lock on second place.

Even a blind squirrel finds an acorn every now and then Elmonica. Now if Olbermann could just find a clue.
Comment by Alison — August 15, 2007 @ 8:18 pm
OH MY GOD…Rick is interviewing someone in Peru (an earthquake hit a little while ago) and he’s speaking half-english, half-spanish (?)…is he trying to attract the Telemundo audience now?
Comment by Anonymous — August 15, 2007 @ 8:29 pm
Gosh you can’t even come up with your own comments anymore, you have to post mine for me. Imitation is the sincerest form of flattery.
Don’t fret about thost AC360 numbers as more than one person has explained (Anon was one of them) it’s due to “breaking news” on the Imus settlement NOT the anchor.
And 8,000 isn’t beating in TV lingo, it’s called flat lining.
Marty: When the hell have I ever criticized the coverage on 360? Yep, just keep making things up and posting bullcrap, sez more about you than me.
Too bad you can’t get your own opinions and back then up with FACTS but that’d be like work to you lazy farts.
Comment by Mary Snow — August 15, 2007 @ 8:31 pm
For the record, Mary Snow…I just like teasing you and your dislike for AC…everyone is entitled to their own opinions, and that includes you. But your disapproval for AC and the related AC/CNN/Klien rants *ARE* quite entertaining :D
Comment by Anonymous — August 15, 2007 @ 8:46 pm
Oh please. Don’t flatter yourself Mary Snow, no one wants to imitate your one-note, “bash CNN all the time” posts. If it’s REALLY all about the news and not about the anchor, why are you always in an uproar about Aaron Brown?
Comment by Marty — August 15, 2007 @ 9:00 pm
Sorry, Spud, if this is a little risque…
On H&C, Geraldo just called Guilfoyle “the gangbanging prosecutor from Los Angeles”. She laughed it off and pointed out perhaps the word he was looking for was “gangbanger”.
Johnny $.. video??
Comment by bigred — August 15, 2007 @ 9:25 pm
why is mary snow so obsessed with aaron brown? maybe she’s a member of the newsnighters? maybe she is his agent and pissed? hmm.. i bet for the last one.
Comment by Me — August 15, 2007 @ 10:05 pm
bigred - not two minutes earlier, Guilfoyle introduced herself as the “gangbanger prosecutor from Los Angeles.” Geraldo was taken aback; then later quoted her wrong.
MSNBC Live (7-9am) – 224,000 viewers (65,000)
Is this because 6am-7am is so bad, it would bring the # down to the negatives? I know. I know. It’s what they give you.
Tucker topped 100,000 in the demo after his show and Hardball almost scratched yesterday. I’m scratching my head.

You actually posted something without trashing Fox!
