Wednesday’s Numbers…
It appears that CNN’s Elvis special on Larry King Live and news of the Peru Earthquake boosted the network’s numbers last night. Anderson Cooper 360 led the way in the Demo with more than 500,000 viewers…

Good numbers — at least for August dogdays — for Olbermann, both Wed and also Tues. (And, going by that other web site that uses the “live plus” numbers that don’t exclude everyone who records the show & watch it later, he’s been getting a lot of “plus” viewers, too.)

Third place is good?
Maybe out of 10… but out of 5? Eh.

I noticed that last couple of days that John Roberts has been on vacation and Rob Marciano, the meterologist, has been filling in on American Morning. I’ve always thought that Rob M. was an excellent weatherman, as well as an outstanding field reporter during severe weather stories. However, I believe that he has been terrific as a co-host working along with Chetry. Of course, I’m not suggesting he replace John Roberts, but IMO Marciano has enornous talent and I suspect that he’ll have a very successful TV career.

DON’T WORRY EVERYONE!!!! IT’S JUST BECAUSE OF BREAKING NEWS IT’S NOT THE ANCHOR!!!! THANKS TO ANONY FOR POINTING THIS OUT CLEARLY LAST WEEK WHEN SOLEDAD HAD GREAT NUMBERS!!! OTHERWISE YOU GUYS WOULD SAY SOMETHING STUPID LIKE “ANDERSON GOT GOOD NUMBERS” BUT HE DIDN’T IT’S BECAUSE OF BREAKING NEWS.
I sure hope they have breaking news every night cause August is looking like CNN won’t release the hour by hour numbers again because 360’s ratings are DOWN, regardless of the anchor or breaking news. (yeah I can back that up with facts, can you back what you say up with facts?)
(pssst I think even Anderson knows since they’ve cut the hours back from 2 live to 1 live.)

Here’s a fact…360 goes back to two hours after Labor Day according to CNN…
Comment by Spud — August 16, 2007 @ 9:20 pm
yeah, seems like the peru earthquake and the mining thing (plus the carry over from the elvis thing on LKL) really helped 360.. its not often that a CNN show has the highest demo for the entire night, definately something to be proud of IMHO.

and AC beat greta in total viewers..LKL beat h and c on fnc. heck even rich sanchez had over 600 thousand viewers. hey mary snow, how many viewers did aaron brown have last night. zilch nada NONE

MS-
Before you came along there were several of us (me included) who noticed the AC360 #s would often go up when John Roberts filled in. You came along and immediately assumed you were all alone. You would attack me and others when we were actually backing you up. Now with the all caps and making no sense, I’m starting to get worried. Please just chill.

hah. I love how Mary has to turn the screamers on. Man, if 360 ever beat O’Reilley in P2, I think we’d have to call paramedics.

Throw in a psychiatrist to help Mary Snow deal with her never ending rage and anger over Aaron Brown’s departure and her resentment of all things CNN.

I believe this is three straight days of 2nd place finishes for Keith in the demo. You people must be suffering withdrawal symptoms over this.
Comment by elmonica — August 17, 2007 @ 12:37 am
El, update me when you can talk about Keith’s ratings, and not have to ad “in the…” or “for … minutes” or anything like that.
And still… second place… wooo… number two! The first place, of all the losers.
