Keith Olbermann interview…
Gail Shister has an interview with Keith Olbermann…
Olbermann sees the NBC shot “as a great opportunity to advertise our product. It’s an hour-long infomercial. Obviously, it’s the biggest storefront we have.
“I don’t think anyone expects us to do really well in the ratings. We can do basically whatever we want. If they’re good, everyone can be pleasantly surprised.”
Is it a tryout? Maybe.
“If something comes of it, it would be great,” he says. “I have no expectations. My best analogy is that it’s like a top minor league pitcher being brought up for one game to pitch inside the huge ballpark. You know in advance that it’s a one-time thing.”
Despite Countdown’s skyrocketing numbers and a daily gig on ESPN Radio, Olbermann says it is too expensive to buy the apartment he’s renting now.
Skyrocketing numbers? A bit overdramatic…
UPDATE: Did Shister contact FNC seeking comment regarding the O’Reilly barb?

I watch CD and I would agree that using the phrase “skyrocketing numbers” in reference to the show’s ratings is going a bit overboard.

Here we go again. “Skyrocketing”. From when? A year ago? How much have they skyrocketed since, say, the first of the year? And he still gets beat 3-1 (or 1,400,000 viewers, by his nemesis most nights).
And didn’t his daily radio gig end? The MSM never lets the facts get in the way of a good story.

There was a lot of news a few months ago when he PURCHASED a $4Million apartment on the Upper East Side of NYC, in a Trump building no less. So what’s this business about “renting” and “can’t afford to buy”? Of course the last time Shister wrote an article on him she insisted he was an only child until she was finally forced to issue a retraction too. Let’s just say that accuracy and fact-checking, at least in so far as it concerns Olbermann is possibly not her strong suit.

“…like a top minor league pitcher…”
More like an average little league pitcher…

When I hear KO and his fans talk about his “Skyrocketing” ratings the only thing I can think of are those old NASA films of their early rockets lifting up,up,up then blowing up and crashing back to the ground.

Gail Shister (her last name says it all) plays fast and loose with the facts almost as much as anony does.

More to the point, can you imagine the outrage if FOX decided to put O’Reilly on before Sunday Football. Olbermann would be freaking out.
Between Gumbal on NFL network ruining games and now Olbermann ruining NBC coverage, why not bring back Joe Theismann. That way I can just give up on listening to anything worth a damn from any announcer doing a late game.
I give up~
