Probably Anderson Cooper. I get the feeling that he needs to be on the move again.

Can I wish it was Bill Hemmer?

Turns out that the ATA blog is saying that CNN is promo-ing Anderson in Iraq all next week

Humm, I would almost wonder if we might see Shepard make a trip over seas, though who knows. If anything though, AC is probably the best bet with his regular travels.

Anderson was all giddy last night, so it only follows that he’s headed to Iraq.

I think CNN is already running ads to the effect that AC will be live in Iraq all next week.

Well we know it won’t be KO as stated.

Yeah, CNN is now running ads for it. So this blind item ain’t so blind anymore…

No, Keith will remain in the comfort of the Secaucus studios to slam Anderson, Shep or anyone else who ventures into the region.

Why do you people CARE what anchor goes to Iraq, or which one doesn’t? It’s not like ANY of them actually report on combat situation or put themselves in any danger. While I have the utmost respect for correpondants like Michael Ware for putting themselves in danger trying to bring us the real story, an anchor appearing in protected situations for a few safe days means nothing. It’s a non issue.

Mike:
So then why not have the “Brave Hero” from MSNBC go over there as well if it’s so safe? And what about Katie Couric going over there as well?

Mike..it may have to do with style and what appeals and what doesn’t to each person…Though I know Michael Ware is very good in what he does I find his style turns me off just to watch…..Just a guess

Mike, Just to bring you up to date the anchors/reporters/journalists reporting from Iraq put themselves in danger everyday to bring us this story. According to the “Reporters without Borders”, 201 journalists and their media assistants have been killed since the start of fighting in Iraq in March of 2003.
To answer your question about why do we care who goes to the war zones, I guess it is a human thing. We would hate to lose some one we have watched, liked, and respected for the work that they do. It would leave a void for me.
