Bush Iraq Address: FNC Coverage notes…
Thursday night, FNC will cover the Presidential address and Democratic response from 9-10PM ET, with Brit Hume anchoring from Washington. Following the address, Hannity & Colmes will air at 10PM ET and On the Record w/ Greta Van Susteren will follow at 11PM ET. Shepard Smith will anchor coverage on the Fox Broadcast Network…

Is there any reason why it’s just FNC covering the debates? While the Fox haters will contend that the network is just a mouthpiece for the Republican party, it is irresponsible for no other network to reschedule its programming for something as significant as news of the Iraq war.

What are you talking about? CNN and MSNBC will cover this address to the nation, and you can expect to see it on ABC, NBC, CBS, and FOX.

If I remember correctly, MSNBC will have Olbermann doing “pre-address coverage,” with Matthews and Olbermann covering the address afterwards.

Sorry Nobody. I read it as if it was FNC alone that was covering the speech (as they had Petraeus on w/Brit exclusively the other night). I’m glad the other networks will be doing so as well.

FNC finally got it right. They changed from the staid old panel members and added the great young jounalists they have on staff. Major Garret and Bret B. were bright, articulate and knowledgeable. Bill Sammon was another good addition. Nina Easton is not my favorite, however.
But this is definitely a positive change in their political coverage.
