  1. All things considered, MSNBC did well for itself…even beat CNN in the full hour demo, and CNN had reactions from 4 presidential candidates in the second half hour with Larry King (Obama, Giuliani, Edwards and McCain).

  2. So can anybody explain why the demo number for the Democratic response increased by 50,000 after the President’s speech on Fox, the supposed GOP Propaganda network?

  4. These numbers are a crystal clear illustration of just how stupid the Democrats are.

Watch them come begging for equal time next year.

I hope Murdoch just laughs at Howard Dean while he forces him to watch a burning pile of $100 bills.

  6. lmfao Fox didn’t even air the Dems response Spud you liar, all they did is give a brief summary of it.

  7. That’s a bit harsh, don’t you think Bob? Spud didn’t lie. FNC is part of the ratings game regardless of which news network is running what at any particular time.

“So can anybody explain why the demo number for the Democratic response increased by 50,000 after the President’s speech on Fox, the supposed GOP Propaganda network?”

That would be the same GOP Propaganda network that chose to NOT EVEN RUN the democratic response? It’s THAT same network, is it Ira?

    Your question was?

  8. Fox News Channel did air the response you idiots!!!!!!!!
It was the network that did not air the response. That is because it was worthless for them to air it. Instead they went back to dont forget the lyrics. Guess what people. The CW did not even air anything. Ya know why? they dont have a news org. (Actually thye do, CNN or even simulcast CBS for the pres. speech) Shep Smith told people if they wanted to see the respone thye could tune into FNC. MAybe not the best idea, but at least they aired the president” speech. The reason Fox did not air the response was because it would take too much time. Fox News had NOTHING to do with the decision.

  9. Bob, Spud did not lie. You owe him an apology.

Berberry, Fox News aired the response (refer to the ratings above). Fox TV network affiliates did not run the response.

And 186, I agree with you. The Dems should reconsider their idiotic Fox News debate boycott.

    Comment by Goldfish — September 15, 2007 @ 4:17 pm

  10. #9 - I agree, Goldfish. The whole boycott is rather stupid.

That being said, it would be nice if they could have lengthy debates where the candidates are not given 60 seconds to answer questions about complex issues. I know the candidates are equally guilty of sticking to talking points and often do not even answer the question asked, but these debates are nothing more than pointless endeavors where the “news” from debates are the snarky remarks and a few heated exchanges….this is supposed to be about figuring out who would make the best president, not who had the best one-liner of the night.

It would be good if Fox (given it’s ratings dominance) would take the lead and change how these debates are structured.
