Action and reaction…?

What happened to TMZ’s Harvey Levin on MSNBC? He used to be a fixture on MSNBC Live during the Anna Nicole, Paris Hilton, Lindsay Lohan, and Britney Spears stories. But he hasn’t been seen on MSNBC Live in a while. Why has he apparently been dropped? Could it be because TMZ is coming out with a syndicated TV show and NBC was worried about promoting a program’s host who would be in direct competition with NBC’s own syndicated “Access Hollywood”? I don’t know the answer. But it’s an interesting point to ponder.

  1. I kinda assumed that since TMZ is owned by AOL, which has the same parent company as CNN, that Time Warner must have limited (or axed) his appearances from MSNBC completely.

  2. ^ I don’t think Time Warner should let Levin go on any other network. Its called keeping it in the house! And that includes his juicy audio and video.

  3. But Levin is still appearing on FNC.

  4. O’Reilly said after talking to him that the TMZ show could be seen on Fox stations. It is on after my local Fox News…a real sleezey show…maybe he’s in hiding?

  6. TMZ is syndicated by Time Warner’s Telepictures and is appearing on affiliates other than Fox and MNTV as well.

  7. Fox has a duopoly in my market.. (WOFL35/My65) and TMZ comes on Fox35 @ 6:30pm.

  8. In the NYC market, TMZ comes on FOX 5 at 6:30p… right before the Simpsons. WHICH USED TO BE ON FOR AN HOUR… until TMZ… dangit!

  9. It would be much better of Fox 5 paired “The Simpsons” with an episode of Kent Brockman’s “Eye on Springfield” at 6:30. I need to see part 17 of their investigative report on the BIKINI!

  10. After Levin hosted LKL last week, much to the chagrin of Larry, I wondered if we’d be seeing more of him on CNN. Not that he has any journalistic abilities, but CNN seems to be delving ever-deeper into the type of information in which he traffics.
