The Future of Tim Russert?

…no not Tim personally, but his CNBC program “Tim Russert”. Or is it his soon to be ex-CNBC program Tim Russert? When CNBC released its updated schedule for weekend primetime, the Tim Russert program wasn’t a part of it. I watched this weekend’s new episode with Tom Friedman so the show isn’t in the re-run hell that you typically see before a show gets the axe. So what’s going on? Could this mean that the show will finally move to what I’ve been arguing for years is its proper home, MSNBC? We shall see…

  1. I can’t watch Russert w/out worrying he’s going to drop dead of a heart attack before my eyes. Man looks terrible and needs some r&r.

  2. That show always seemed to be more of an in-house corporate newsletter, with frequent NBC-types. Russert even used the show to promote his books by bringing in Brokaw to interview him about it. Russert’s great on Meet The Press, this show seemed to be a little too cozy for me, Russert’s chance to indulge himself or boost NBC. Don’t think it will be missed.

  4. Early afternoon on Saturday I would guess. Maybe the same slot that Meet has on Sunday?
