O'Reilly is not a racist. Anyone who believes he is is stupid enough to believe what CNN tells them too.
Watch the video here for the truth not CNN's distortion of the truth.

"vett" (post #20), who are you to drop in here all of a sudden and call me names such as that? True, CNN seems to the left of center, but I never before knew they were dishonest in their reporting. Until now, with what I've seen with Roland Martin, and now with Rick Sanchez. Those two ARE in fact distorters of the truth and I refuse to watch them again.

I still trust and have respect for Lou Dobbs and Anderson Cooper, and will continue watching those two unless they, too, become dishonest in their reporting/presentations. But I am not yet ready to trash the entire network, as I am with MSNBC, who have proven themselves to be almost conspiratorial in that each program CONSISTENTLY bashes FNC.

Let's try that with some coherent grammar attached... here we go:

In the media, "everyONE always sees the bad guys..."

And just to clarify, before anyone get's all huffy at me... I used "nice" purposely, because I thought "normal" was somehow more offensive. "Nice" refers to the fact that they don't want to go around shooting people... like is conveyed in so many rap videos.

Because BO is talking to Juan williams he's not a racist? Gimme a break. How many times have you seen BO portraying AA in a positive light in his show? He's always talking about Nas, Snoop, Luda,OJ etc. If he can show some positive things about AA, maybe all those old people that watches his show (including his grandmother) will not still dwell in their stereotype about AA. Tell me one AA that BO says that is doing good in his community?

So that’s it for me. And maybe I’ll give CNN a little more time to see how far they push this story, and if it approaches MSNBC’s tactics, I’ll stop watching them as well.
Because you need MORE proof? Sorry, but if Fox News EVER did anything this obvious, egregious and apparently "Faux news"-worthy, you would shriek like the banshee you are. WE do not need many more obviations of this nature-- e.g the NYT giving moveoff.org favorable rates-- to see what is going on. Either you get it or you are a fool, a tool partisan. Make up your mind.

I normally watch Abrams (and record H & C), but tonight, when I heard him mention that he, too, was jumping on the "O'Reilly-racist" bandwagon, I thought that enough is enough.

MSNBC in almost all of its programming has gone way too far in attacking Fox and its programs. So that's it for me. And maybe I'll give CNN a little more time to see how far they push this story, and if it approaches MSNBC's tactics, I'll stop watching them as well.

BTW, does anyone have a link as to what Scarborough said about the matter (someone mentioned it on another thread). This hyper-hypocrite seemed like he was a man of character at one time, but that seems to be no longer the case with him. I'd just like to say what Mr. Worst Ratings in the World had to say on the matter.

Aaron... Juan Williams speaks for himself... and since he was part of the actual conversation and interview, he has more credibility than anyone else concerning the matter.

Nobody was offended by this until Media Matters told the drones to "be offended"... and made sure that the transcript they put out, offended as many people as possible. It's all politics... the race argument is just a farce... it's just another anti-O'Reilly attack.

Taken by itself, what O'Reilly said was stupid and possibly malicious. Looking at the context of the show and his overall history, it does not seem malicious. Those who are accusing O'Reilly of bigotry should examine the context and his track record.

Hopefully, this will lead O'Reilly to examine relevant context and history before he leads another campaign against some public comment that offends his political or cultural mindset.

For instance, by taking into account context and the history of the speakers, he might not have spent weeks on that assembly at Boulder High School.

Yeah... but the guy he was talking to... the BLACK GUY HE WAS TALKING TO... not only thought what he said wasn't racist... HE AGREED! HE THEN WENT ON TONIGHT TO DEFEND HIM!

So, either you then think that Juan is also a racist... against himself... or you realize that the smear organizations are just warping your fragile little mind.

I agree that it was taken out of context, and personally I think CNN is better than that. CNN is wrong on this one.

That being said, O'Reilly needs to realize that he has taken baseless shots at CNN in the past. For example, he has accused CNN of taking "delight" in showing bombs going off in Iraq because it "makes the President look bad." An equally stupid statement.

Personally, I see all of this on the same level as the antics on wrestling shows, and Fox, CNN and MSNBC are all guilty.

Hey, Marty, randy, and chi. Have you listened to the entire hour-long show about race in America. No? You haven't? Oh..... I see now, you get your talking points from media matters. I challenge you three to actually listen to the entire show, available on bill's site, and then report back about how "racist" and "bigoted" BO is. You media matters phonies are pathetic.

So If KO and CNN think this will have an Imus ending, think again.

Great. Now CNN is mimicking MSNBC and trying to boost their ratings by attacking O'Reilly. How pathetic.

CNN and MSNBC (Morning Joe) both ran the story and both took it out of context. If you would take the time to read
the entire conversation Bill O was having, you'd understand that it was not racist.

Yeah... and did you see how Juan Williams got all mad at him.

Oh wait... he didn't. It's a bunch of white guys getting mad because they think that a black man like Williams "doesn't understand" what O'Reilly was really talking about.

Gee... I guess it's good THEY'RE not racists... or else they'd think they were better than black people. Interesting...

I bet Kiran Chetry is taking great pleasure in getting in a few jabs at her former network. She can't compete ratings wise, that's for sure.

BO needs to take responsibility for the words he used in discribing african americans, and the way he views AA. It was offensive, and he should stop labelling people (moving to the dark side) for pointing out what he said.

You can probably expect all of the MSM to be jumping all over this. They really can't help themselves. Whenever a "conservative" says anything that can be construed even in the slightest to be racist, there is always a feeding frenzy.
