  1. hmm….a little testy but not that bad. The amicably “agreed to disagree”. Never pegged GK to be a Kerry defender though.

  3. Greg Kelly consistently pokes holes in guests or even co-hosts who spout baseless GOP talking points. It’s kind of like a “Nixon in China” thing because no one can question his toughness, patriotism or situational knowledge. I’m not sure hosting Fox and Friends is the right gig for him, but he’s impressed me.

  4. Jerzie, I didn’t see it as Greg defending Kerry as much as keeping the facts straight. Simply put, Greg wasn’t going to let a guest attribute rather inflammatory statements to someone who never made them — I’d bet that he would have had the same reaction regardless of who the supposed speaker was.

  6. Kelly is a weenie. Simmons has a whole lot more military experience than Greg Kelly. Kelly is a reservist. If Greg Kelly wants to speak with any credibility on terrorism he will need to get some experience of his own instead of trying to borrow daddy’s. Flying a plane in the reserves doesn’t do it. Playing a Marine on the TV news doesn’t work either. He is less tolerable each week.

  7. As much as I disagree with what Greg Kelly said yesterday, he most definitely was on active duty for nearly a decade. He flew numerous times as part of the enforcement of the No-Fly Zone in southern Iraq.

Criticize his opinions, but not his military experience. He’s the real deal.

  8. Kelly is also quite attractive. Men are always talking up Robin on CNN….

  11. It would seem to me that it’s the job of a journalist to challenge someone who makes questionable or inflammatory remarks. The guy made a statement that was not factual - Kerry never called them terrorists. Maybe Greg shouldn’t have continued to argue the point so long, but everyone that was so outraged over Rick Sanchez letting that guy call Juan Williams a “happy negro” should not be outraged that a Fox journalist challenged someone on a statement that he couldn’t really back up. It’s not about being liberal or “touchy” or your military service or supporting John Kerry - it’s just holding people accountable for what they say. Why is that such a confusing concept?

  13. Greg Kelly was not defending Kerry. He was doing his job when he corrected Simmons’ statement. That’s was every host should do when confronted with inaccurate comments from a guest.

  14. should read: That’s what every host…
