Whose is really the oldest show…
Big Head D.C. fact checks Michael Starr and finds trouble…
The high-decibel Matthews holds a unique niche now, what with Hardball cable’s longest-running political debate show following the demise of CNN’s Crossfire.”
Celebrating 10 years is indeed something to note, but Starr did not allow himself the necessary fact-checking to see that Hardball is cable’s second longest-running political debate show. On October 7, FOX News’ Hannity & Colmes, will celebrate 11 years… Fuzzy math, Mr. Starr.

Hannity and Colmes is no a reliable political debate show. That is the only logic I can see here. They will lead off with a celebrity story if it is out there. Hardball sticks political, even if Alec Baldwin yells at his child.

Is that in people or dog years?

I knew H&C was older! I even questioned it on the post about the article on Hardball’s anniversary. Although MSNBC does have a flair for spinning numbers in odd ways….

Matthews’ show began as Politics with Chris Matthews… which launched in 1996. So that would make it older than H&C. Fuzzy math indeed.

with the title that don stated above.

If it started in 1994, why would MSNBC be throwing a 10th anniversary party?? Different title = different show. Obviously Hardball is celebrating 10 years.

I think the bottom line here is that either BigHeadDC or Michale Starr could be considered “wrong” depending on how you look at it. But that’s why BigHeadDC’s agressive tone kinda makes me scratch my head and laugh.

Why does it matter? Let Matthews nail the coverted Tiara of Longevity on his glistening dome. Any knucklehead knows that “time spent on the planet” or “tons of oxygen wasted” are different from “quality of programming.” First does not mean best. The older one gets, the more this become apparent.
