Not for 6 or 9 months. As a new network, ratings are meaningless until they broaden their distribution, and more Americans discover the channel exists, and that it’s relevant for them and doesn’t actually sound like CNBC. I understand Nielsen will provide FOX Biz the viewership information privately, to see what programs work better than others, but it’s ratings won’t become public until the network’s worked out most of it’s kinks, played around with it’s programming, etc.

How about Chris Matthews’s hosting of the latest Pres. Debate - 257,000 viewers, ouch !!!! Looks like the two least watched Pres. Debates were hosted by Olbermann and Chris Matthews. These two liberal America Haters are ready for jobs at Dead Air America.

I was all looking forward to it this morning but alas, our cable provider, Cox Cable, doesn’t have it yet. I called them and they said they want to wait and see how their ratings are - so - I guess this means it will be awhile, if ever. Do most of you have access to it? Just curious… This was so disappointing.

I found it this morning and it was on channel 124 with time warner. I did not watch long and switched back to fox and friends. I saw David S. on Morning Joe, gagged and turn to F&F.
Comment by Cathy — October 15, 2007 @ 7:22 pm
Sophia, Directv has it.
Comment by Terance — October 15, 2007 @ 7:23 pm
I don’t have access to it either. It’s the biggest new channel distribution in the history of cable (34 million homes), but alas, even that doesn’t mean penetration of most markets.
Comment by Haile Welde — October 15, 2007 @ 7:23 pm
Oh sorry to hear that Sophia :(
We don’t have access to it here in Canada at all (legally), but I have a “grey dish” so I was able to catch it on that. To be honest, you didn’t miss THAT much…was a tad let down considering all the hype (or at least the hype in my head LOL). But when Liz jumps on the 2-5 shift, you can bet I’ll be glued!

Not a peep about Liz Claman today? If she’s to join the network, I would’ve thought it’d make the biggest PR wave if they announced her today, even if she doesn’t do any anchoring right away.
Comment by Haile Welde — October 15, 2007 @ 7:28 pm
Yeah I’m surprised. Maybe they’re holding her back to next week…you know, spread out the goodies?
Comment by Anonymous — October 15, 2007 @ 7:30 pm
I read on TVN that Liz’ non compete is up on Wednesday.. that’s funny because I thought a while back it was said to be today..
Comment by Terance — October 15, 2007 @ 7:34 pm
Gregg…the debate was a RERUN from earlier last week. Chillax.

My comcast system doesn’t it here (Norwich CT).
One of the users at dslreports.com had a chat with comcast about FBN in the New England region.

Comment by Alison — October 15, 2007 @ 8:28 pm
wow! look at Glenn Beck’s numbers.
Comment by Sal Jr — October 15, 2007 @ 9:10 pm
dobbs more demo than tucker total
Comment by Aaron — October 15, 2007 @ 9:16 pm
What happens if Sanchez’s numbers keep going up. What will they do in once C. Brown starts? Where would they put Sanchez now that Dobbs is on at 7 and Wolf is on from 4-7?
Comment by Rene Yamin — October 15, 2007 @ 9:46 pm
17. ^ Glenn’s one guest, and subject, was evangelist John Hagee. Rating surprised me to.
