Wow PIP didn’t really do as well as I thought it would…I’m sure there must be some glum faces at CNN after the HUGE amount of promo and endless PIP talk on CNN from morning to night. All things considered (PIP, breaking news), CNN didn’t do THAT well last night — AC even got beat by a BOR repeat at 11!
Comment by Anonymous — October 25, 2007 @ 7:35 pm
PIP was an excellent piece of work but wasn’t totally surprised the numbers weren’t higher. From the comments here before it aired it was obvious many don’t find this an important topic and weren’t planning to watch. Perhaps if they hadn’t been competing with the Calif fire coverage it may have done better but these numbers were more or less what I was expecting.

I’m amazed that Greta always wins the 10pm hour. Don’t get me wrong she’s a good host, but you would think that by 10pm most people would have ODed on Brittay Spears, Anna Nicole and missing persons. I guess I underestimate the appeal that this stuff has for a lot of people.
Comment by Gregg Smith — October 25, 2007 @ 8:39 pm
What’s really amazing here is that BOR’s “West Coast” viewers beat AC, even though AC was live on the “West Coast” reporting on the wildfires! Wow…
And another wow…PIP did terrible, which surprises me alot.

Gregg - Greta’s been out all week, Megyn Kelly subbed last night…

A few days ago, BoR railed against CNN and MSNBC for not covering the Michael Murphy Medal of Honor story. Then today, Jane Hall caught him lying by saying that both CNN and MSNBC aired the story during the afternoon and 7:00 pm hours. Then BoR claims that only his time slot (8:00 pm) counts as primetime. Don’t you love how he always manipulates events his way, to belittle others? And this hack calls himself a journalist. How pathetic.

I wouldn’t go as far as to say PIP did terrible. Numbers really aren’t that shabby and very good demo ratings
Comment by myview — October 25, 2007 @ 8:57 pm
True, the numbers maybe weren’t THAT bad, but it was hyped SO MUCH that I was at least expecting it to beat the regular FNC programming.
Comment by Christian — October 25, 2007 @ 9:10 pm
Kevin, talk about manipulating…if you were listening Bill was commenting on the 8-11 hours. However, I partially agree that Jane stuck him on why he was the ONLY 8-11 FNC host to cover the story.
Comment by Christian — October 25, 2007 @ 9:13 pm
I wish Jane would have stated specifically which programs covered the story. Just saying that others did so in the evening hours was sort of vague.

We must bring down Fux News; enough fake news. If you want REAL news, watch CNN or MSNBC.

“We must bring down Fux News; enough fake news. If you want REAL news, watch CNN or MSNBC.”
Evan, you have GOT to be joking!! Get off the drugs son, get off the drugs.
There were NO programs other than BOR’s show at 8 PM that made any mention of the Michael Murphy story that were presented in the “PrimeTime” hours of 8 PM to 11 PM. But that also means that BOR’s show was the ONLY one on FOX to make mention of it which Jane correctly presented to Bill. This is what Bill was referring to though in his “Talking Points Memo” since his show just so happens to air during the “PrimeTime” hours of 8 PM to 11PM. See, for all of you who don’t know or understand, as well as the ones who worship at the alter of Olbermann…anyone notice that he was off last night? Most have been taking a bath…the most watched viewing times on TV are between…can you guess it?…8 PM to 11 PM.

I would think Olbermann was at Hillary Clinton’s 60th Birthday Fundraiser last night (we went to Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday). Since “invited guests” had to pay $2300 for the honor to be there, I wonder how squares with him being an unbiased journalist.

HA! (we went to Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday). I meant to say “HE went to Bill Clinton’s 60th birthday. I don’t have enough cash for that!

***I wonder how squares with him being an unbiased journalist.***
He’s not an unbiased journalist. He’s a shill for the DNC/Hillary and everyone knows it, even if the mainstream media refuses to note it in most cases. More than half his resources come from mediamatters and thinkprogress, two Hillary outlets.
A louder Hillary mouthpiece cannot be found.
Comment by RW — October 26, 2007 @ 10:41 am
oops! Didn’t watch Countdown, but just found out that he said he was at Fenway for the World Series last night (on Countdown). Oh well, I guess baseball wins over shilling for Hillary (at least last night!) ;)
