Dobbs vs. Spitzer
The AP’s Larry McShane writes about Lou Dobbs war with New York Governer Elliot Spitzer…
Dobbs’s ire boiled over Tuesday night when he ripped Spitzer as an idiot _ and then offered an on-air mea culpa.
“I’m the idiot,” Dobbs said. “Governor, I apologize for calling you one. Your policies are idiotic. But I have to apologize for calling you an idiot.”
Dobbs shouldn’t hold his breath waiting for a bouquet of roses (the state flower) and a thank-you note from Spitzer.
“Mr. Dobbs has clearly demonstrated that he is not interested in a real debate on New York’s driver’s license policy change,” said Jennifer Givner, a Spitzer spokeswoman. “He has repeatedly refused to offer balanced coverage of the issue.”

Dobbs has been pleading for Spitzer to appear on his program, especially since 72% of NY state is against this idiotic idea. If Ms. Givner and her boss want “balance”, why did the cowardly governor refuse to appear on Dobbs’ program?

Somebody explain to me how illegal aliens can be issued drivers licenses? Oh, and since we’re giving them permission to drive, does that mean they’ll purchase car insurance? I thought the idea was to deport anyone not legally allowed to be here.

IMO, The two (2) big issues for 2008 Presidential campaign:
1A) Iraq
1B) Illegal Immigration
Both of these issues cross party lines and whichever candidate has a “legitimate plan” to deal with these two big issues will be elected president.

Actually, the biggest issue will be the unworthiness of Bill Clinton’s wife to hold the highest office in the land.

Spitzers office is “spinning” out of control this is their response to Lou Dobbs? California had this problem and I believe their remedey was a recall of their Gov Gray Davis…anyone remember Gray Davis? Didn’t the same “Issue” come up in California about giving driver licenses to people who have Invaded another Country.

Illegal immigration is the biggest issue for me in the coming election. That is why I have lost all allegience to Kay Bailey Hutchinson. She now wants to run for govenor of Texas and she sold her soul for the Mexican vote last week by voting for the Dream Act. Call it by it’s correct name - The Nightmare Act.
Of next importance is the JUDGES!!!

Cella, I couldn’t believe what Sen. Hutchison did last week. She seemed very reliable on the issue of immigration, but her actions last week were just to pander to get the hispanic vote when she runs for governor. I, too, am very disappointed in her actions.
