Nancy Grace Q&A…
The Rocky Mountain News’ Mike Pearson has a Q&A with Nancy Grace…(via FTVLive)
3 Do you think you ever go overboard with your prosecutorial zeal?
“I think I’m just telling the truth. Now the truth can be pretty harsh sometimes. What should I do, sugarcoat it? Why? I’ve got one hour to cover a story . . . People tend to become a homogenized creation of the airwaves. I did not go to law school for that.”
4 You’ve been parodied on Saturday Night Live and Boston Legal. How do you feel about being a pop-culture icon?
“I don’t think I’m a pop-culture icon. I think I’m easy to make fun of, and that’s OK. I laugh right along with it. I saved all the Boston Legals on my TiVo, but I haven’t seen the one where I get hit in the head with a shovel, and then go right back on the air with a bandage on my head.”
5 You seem to spend a lot of time on celebrity news, specifically Britney Spears. How does that jibe with your mission to help solve crimes?
“I don’t see the celebrity news, I see the child custody issues. To me, when a celeb commits a crime that I feel is worth shedding light on - and celebs commit crimes every day - I feel very strongly. I’ve just seen so many cases where children were abused and mistreated. From what I’ve seen firsthand, cases that involve women and children get treated less stringently than other cases, and I really resent that. You know what, it’s a relief not to always have (to talk about) a murderer.”

INB,
I’ve tried numerous times since the afternoon of the 25th to place my comment on the “Colbert on O’Reilly” post (Oct 23rd page) but it would not go through. Even Spud couldn’t help me get it to go through. In fact, I’ve been having trouble getting most of my posts to go through lately. I’ve placed my response to you here on this non-busy post to see if it goes through. Should you choose to respond, I may not be able to place a comment back to you.
My response to your Colbert comment:
Again, INB, why are you talking to me? I thought you said my posts are boring and that you aren’t going to respond to me? Are you some kind of flip-flopper who just can’t make up their mind from one day to the next?
No, Colbert was having conservatives on as guests before he was supposedly told this by O’Reilly. In my opinion, the comment was O’Reilly politely striking out at Colbert for having on 2 of O’Reilly’s biggest enemies…Olbermann and Franken.
O’Reilly does have a pattern to his show. He too has a variety of right and left leaning guests on as well (much to his credit) but he repeatedly pulls out the same themes over and over again when there are so many other worthy things he could be covering. Some of his patterns are the constant pointing out of the San Francisco values agenda and the marginalization of Christianity, the bashing of other media outlets, his playing the victim when someone criticizes him and his name calling/personal attacks. He manages to work these into his show so often that they qualify as a pattern.
No, I’m sure you don’t know what I’m talking about because, much like O’Reilly with regards to Colbert’s guests, you see only what you want to see with regards to O’Reilly.

Please ignore this since this was basically a test comment.
I was finally able to comment over on the correct post once I removed a particular word from my comment that is apparently being censored by the posting system.
