Wow, 50,000 separates CNN and FNC in the 6A-6A P25-54

What? Didn’t MSNBC just issue some huge press release stating how their audience has grown astronomically? Sure looks as if they’ve tanked overall, all day, down 4% for everyone and down 12% in the demographic.
And guess what? I actually WANTED to watch them yesterday when I heard that their were fireworks going on at the debate (Kucinich throwing a fit; something about Richardson, Hillary and Russert). But they apparently didn’t even rerun it, opting instead to run their documentaries, according to my DVR guide. Absolutely none of their news programming was rerun overnight, except for Countdown at midnight.
So to state the obvious, their 8 - 11 p.m. “ratings surge” is attributed to modest (compared to Fox) gains by Countdown, a loss of viewers at 9 p.m. w/Abrams and a huge increase at 10 p.m. w/the beginning of the documentaries. This does NOT sound like a fast growing news channel as we were led to believe, IMO.
