Countdown Quotables…
Interesting. MSNBC has started collecting the best quotes from Keith Olbermann and putting them out on a weekly basis…
Update: They had done this before but not for nearly a year…
Following are quotes from “Countdown with Keith Olbermann” for October 22-26. “Countdown,” a unique newscast that counts down the day’s top stories, telecasts weeknights, 8-9 p.m. ET on MSNBC. Complete program transcripts are available at www.tv.msnbc.com.
“Britain’s Daily Star says Britney [Spears] will be singing a ‘Sesame Street’ duet with Oscar the Grouch, a perfect match since we already know Oscar would be lip synching while there was some guy’s hand on his butt.”
“New chairman of the Joint Chiefs, Admiral Mike Mullen says he believes it would be a mistake to run immediate attacks on Iran, either to stop its supposed influence in Iraq or to hit its nascent nuclear facilities. I give it a week before Dick Cheney calls the admiral a terrorist.”[referring to Governor Mitt Romney’s apparent slip of the tongue by mixing up Osama bin Laden and Barack Obama] “Governor Romney does it again. Talk about too disturbing to contemplate. It’s just a slip to confuse Barack Obama and Osama bin Laden. You know, like if somebody said Romney is a polygamist when they meant to say Romney’s grandfather was a polygamist.”
“When it comes to regaining custody of her own children, Britney Spears holds the key to her own success which is why she always comes off as somebody standing next to an AMC Pacer while holding a bent coat hanger.”

Who with any common sense cares what this wack job has to say. It’s all diarrea coming out of his pie hole.

MSNBC considers this the Best Quotes of Countdown? Stop the presses, time to rewrite Bartlett’s Familiar Quotations for these great additions. More the pity Olbermann really thinks this junk is so cool. And the paper tossing act is about as smart as a two year old having a tantrum.

“Countdown,” a unique newscast that counts down the day’s top stories,”…. for all those that claim MSNBC promotes this show as “opinion”, read that line again very carefully. I don’t see the words “opinion” or “analysis” in there anywhere.

Wow… I only wish I was back in high school, still writing essays. I’m sure I could have used one of those gems somewhere.
