Michelle Malkin blogs about TVNewser blogging about Keith Olbermann deliberately mispronouncing Malkin’s maiden name.
The MSNBC water-carriers over at TV Newser have linked this blog post, deriding it as a complaint about how my name was pronounced:
On her blog, author and conservative talking head Michelle Malkin corrects MSNBC’s Keith Olbermann, not over the content of his commentary, but over his pronunciation…of her maiden name.

I only mention this of course because, well after all, ICN is just a cable TV gossip blog…
Somehow it seems TVN is inferring Malkin has no objection regarding the content of KO’s commentary. And why does KO always pull his material word for word from far left websites?

What is Olberman’s point, Michelle should hyphenate her name? Is this somekind of feminist advice from KO? I don’t get it, he isn’t pointing to her ethnicity is he? I mean MSNBC has gone to such lengths to be diverse and all, well diverse, when it fits their leftist leaning agenda.

If O’Reilly or Gibson did this to an ethnic person you’d see stories all over the place on CNN and MSNBC condemning them for being racist. There is such a double standard when it comes to the transgressions of liberals. BTW, OlberNutcase must have been beat up too many times on the schoolyard. He sure is a hate-filled person. Why are so many liberals so hateful?

Please Olby, have her on your show for a debate. She would kick his ass. This “man” is nothing but a coward. As I have said countless times before. Why doesnt he invite people who he names as worst person to come on his show and give their side?

Keith is most certainly practicing some type of “ethnic intimidation”, as there is absolutely no reason in the world for Michelle’s maiden name to be brought into the public discourse on any current day topic.
As others have alluded to, above, a conservative would be lambasted and chastized worse than was Don Imus if they would have made the slur against a lib. But because Michelle is a conservative, the attacks go on.
MSNBC should take that lout off the air and be fined (by someone, for some reason?) for such a tactic. Olbermann is just deplorable at this point, yet he continues to get away with his antics.
For the record, Michelle’s maiden name was Maglalang.

Look, Blabberman is trying to emphasize Michelle’s ethnic origin as if in mockery just because she was born of Filipino parents. MAGLALANG is easy enough to pronounce, so why distort it by deliberately mispronuncing it by sayhing it as maglaBONG? That is racism of the worst kind. That b…..d ought to apologize for that slander.
Michelle’s father happened to be a respected doctor who came here with his wife as immigrants. Michelle was born and grew up here, was a writer for the college magazine at Oberlin in Ohio, and married her husband later who was editor of that college magazine.
Blabberman deserves to be spat upon. He is swiftly getting out of control and becoming a monster.

Malkin is always attacked by the people on the Left who feels she’s a traitor to her race because she’s a Conservative..and that usually lead to vile racist/sexist attacks on her(usually involving comments about being an Asian prostitute)….and that’s what KO was doing…he made fun of her maiden name and condemned her for daring to think for herself.
As pointed out had O’Reilly did this with say Jesse Jackson or such he would have been attacked big time for it.
But this is pattern for KO..he makes blantant racist remarks about someone and isn’t nailed for it….he calls Chris Wallace(whose Jewish) a Monkey,He called Alberto Gonzalez(Hispanic)A Waterboy,theres the “Chicken And Waffles” remarks about Roscoe Parrish and lets don’t forget the infamous Nazi salute incident that got him condemned by the A.D.L….but because he’s a Liberal member of the MSM he doesn’t get held accountable for this pattern of behavior.

RJ, from what I remember, Michelle was just going to appear on Hardball, but was ambushed instead. He didn’t let her speak (par for the course for Chrissy). Like so many others, I am sure she’ll never show up on MSNBC again.

Olbermann’s mis-pronounciation of Michelle Malkin’s name is name calling, a tactic used when the speaker doesn’t have any valid arguments. He shouldn’t have done it.
But in the same manner I see Olbermann mis-spelled, the print equivalent of mis-pronounciation, time and time again right here. Surely readers of this blog can do better.

Olbermann doesn’t have debate because he incapable of thinking for himself. Sit down and watch a show sometime, if you haven’t, you’ll quickly see it’s just an echo chamber for liberal views.

So, according to Olbermann, it’s okay to be a racist if the person in question doesn’t toe the liberal line. The odd part is that his mispronunciation isn’t even funny - unless calling her “maglaBONG” is some liberal drug reference that I simply don’t get…

Sorry, Missy - people who call Olbermann ‘Slobberman’ and Dolberman and so on are being simple hypocrits for whining about ANYONE goofing on other people’s names. It’s a juvenile schoolyard tactic whichever side deploys it. I thought the MoveOn ‘betray-us’ ad was beneath contempt for that reason alone.
You can’t have it both ways - either it’s insulting when anyone does it, or it’s okay altogether. The ‘It’s Okay If You Are Republican’ defense notwithstanding.

Well Chrissy basically started yelling and spiting at her..that led to Zell Miller coming to her defense a few days later by challenge Chrissy to a fight.

Remember, Olbermann himself routinely misstates the names of his opponents and their groups: Billo, Fixed Noise, etc.
Should Senator Clinton become elected, do you really think that Olbermann will call her MS Clinton, not President Clinton, as he calls our current leader MISTER Bush?
