Uh, Missy, there’s plenty of conservatives who disobey biblical laws too. Acting unChristian-like is not something limited to liberals. I know many good people that would be considered liberals who live their lives in a very Christ-like manner. Please don’t use your own political bias to make such sweeping generalizations.

Where do you people come up with this “Jesus was a liberal” train of thinking? The Bible is full of laws that we are to obey, and sorry to say, most libs like to break them all. Then when called on them, we’re accused of “intolerance”.

Yes, we are to forgive, but people are to REPENT of their sin. Jesus did forgive the woman of adultery, but then he told her to “GO AND SIN NO MORE”! (John 8:1-11). Liberals ALWAYS leave that part out when speaking of forgiveness.

Jesus also mentioned that the way to heaven is the “narrow path”, meaning that we are to adhere strictly to His teachings. There’s a lot more to say on the subject, but since this is not a board for theology, I will refrain for now. But please know that God does in fact command us to to turn away from our sin!

As someone mentioned earlier in the thread, she succeeded when she was “nice”, years ago, on her talk show. But I think her ratings began to tank when she started her “mean” act.

I honestly don’t know how ANYONE can watch The View. Whether Rosie is on or not, it just seems like these women are a bunch of cacklers who parrot each others ideas, and laugh and agree with anything (as long as it’s not conservative). If that’s the type of audience MSNBC wants to attract, then let them have it!

Just to make sure we’re talking about the same thing, it was the article about falsely attacking the US to provoke war with Cuba… right? Okay… an interesting read… an interesting book. I’ll put it on my Amazon list.

But here’s the bottom line about that… it didn’t happen. They could have been spit-balling, planning, or whatever… apparently enough to fill a book… but the bottom line is, it didn’t happen.

However, Rosie’s theories about whatever really don’t bother me. She’s entitled to her opinion… no matter how loopy it is. I have a problem because she isn’t challenged on it. When you come out supporting a conspiracy theory… one that goes against so much evidence… you have to be willing to take questions, and debate it. Otherwise you are simply a propagandist, and your ‘opinions’ should be viewed with little credibility. If you believe what you say, defend it. Don’t just talk and walk away… I’m not going to believe you.

Hmm. What strong conservative would Rosie permit to appear regularly on her show? There might be some. But the bigger question, is what strong conservative would Olby permit on HIS show? Seeing as he hasn’t interviewed a Republican politician or strategist for OVER A YEAR, I highly doubt he will permit any genuine conservative to appear on his show once, let alone on a recurring basis.

I did, however, see the clips of Rosie on more than just FNC. So where I wrong?

Elizabeth certainly isn’t the one I’d throw into a debate… but from everything I read (from multiple sources) Rosie was not happy after that program. I don’t think Rosie is strong enough to really debate an expert… just someone she can bully around a bit… she’s too temperamental. And having another show on that station with someone who refuses to debate, refuses to acknowledge opposing points of view… it doesn’t bode well for them.

But honestly, I don’t think it will come to that. I don’t think that Rosie has the guaranteed ratings that everyone seems to think she’ll get… especially if they put her at night. In the morning/afternoon she was popular with the housewives… but at night, she’d have to compete with other primetime programming, as well as a male audience that is in general not very receptive to her. Even with MSNBC’s low numbers, I can’t imagine her actually being able to get significant ratings. And frankly, I don’t think she has the stability to have bad ratings, and keep on trying.

ImNotBlue, did you actually watch The View or just FNC’s clips? FYI, Rosie “dealt” with Elisabeth just fine.. The only problem was, Elisabeth would become “unhinged” and unreasonable.. which is the main reason I stopped watching. See, EH basically spouts extremist talking points.. but when “challenged” she overheats. I don’t know, something about “almost crying” while expressing views turns me off big time. Btw, I’m not making excuses for Rosie’ views either.

By the way, it’s taken Rick Sanchez about 2 months to rachet up ratings that are knocking on Olbermann’s door. It took Olbermann FOUR YEARS to get to that level. the only difference is that KO gets the love letters from the mainstream media that pushes forward the mistaken notion he’s some ratings “giant”.

At least people know who Rosie is, even if they can’t stand the sight of her.

LOL Rosie doesn’t fight back. She picks on the weak and when someone does fight back like Trump she crawls back into her hole. Also a repeat of BOR airing for the 4th time doubled Olby in total viewers and beat him in the demo.

That would give MSNBC two programs, back to back, that were “my opinion only” shows. Personally, I think that starts to cut into the networks credibility. Plus, is there really evidence out there that says Rosie would be a draw to people? How well is her book selling? “The View” lost people after she left, but gained people since Whoopie joined. I’m not yet convinced that she could bring in the viewers like it’s assumed she could.
