Spellcheck! Part 2…

Inustrial?
Ok, with that I’m going to put my foot down on this spellcheck stuff. It happens. It’s like the Hazards of Live TV. But if I start spending my time looking for typos, or being tipped to typos, that’s a little too nitpicky. Every once in a while, sure. Ok. But I don’t want this turning into a daily thing…or even a weekly thing. At least with the Hazards of Live TV the type of Hazard that happens on a given day is constantly different, which keeps things fresh. But typos are typos and will always be typos.

Spud, this looks like a fairly standard graphic too. Probably one that’s been used time and again, and if they can’t spot a typo in the name of a major stock index, it really doesn’t make them look too good.

Considering their parent OWNS the DJI name, you’d think they spell it right! LOL

If you don’t want to be called a left-wing nut next time spell Fox right.

Patrick… it just goes to show what, exactly?
And Lurker… you have to understand by now, to the haters, FAUX is spelling it right. Look at it closely, see it has an “F” and an “X” in it… just like “FOX.” Sure, those of us who paid attention in school know it’s pronounced “fō”… not “f-auks” as it looks.
Sure it kind of looks similar… but it isn’t actually pronounced liked “FOX”… so the “joke” only really works for those who can’t read. But let’s face it, when it comes to the haters, you can’t expect too much… and ever after all this time, these little “jokes” are the best they’ve come up with.

Spelling errors are mistakes and everyone makes them. However, Fox does it a lot. Atleast once a day, there is a spelling error. It infuriates me because how can they be trustworthy, dependable, fair and balanced if they can’t even hire a good spellchecker. I’ve written them numerous times to complain and nothing changes. Crazy!

I guess Andrea missed all those CNBC errors Spud has posted since originally posting this story.
