Citizens United vs. CNN: Update…
I missed this Saturday since FishbowlDC rarely posts updates on the weekend so I don’t go there but FishbowlDC has an update to the Citizens United fracas with CNN over its Broken Government doc featuring statements from both Campbell Brown and Davide Bossie…

I thought I’d give Campbell and her program a chance, but forget it. Sounds like she’s just into smearing people, and does not want to admit that she was wrong or say that she was sorry for her slander.
Since she refuses to retract the statement, I now hope Bossie goes after her big time.

Before you go talk about smearing people you should go look up just who David Bossie and Citizens United is. He’s one on the biggest scumbags on the planet and ‘fringe militia’ does a good job describing that extremist group.

Steve, I am quite aware of Bossie and his organization, and he and it come nowhere near to being scumbags. BTW, you may also be interested to know that Moveon.org is also p*ssed w/Campbell. But I’m sure in you’re mind they are justified.

No, I think Moveon’s and Citizens United are pretty close to being different sides of the same coin, MOVEON’s not quite there yet, but they’re fast approaching that level.
And about Bossie. This is a man, and I use that term loosely who doctored audio tapes of Bill Clinton to run attack ads. This is a man who tried to smear Clinton by accusing him of being responsible for the suicide of a former law clerk 15 years prior. Only problem is Bossie never checked his facts. When he finally got around to it, after spreading the story around mind you, he began harrasing the family even barging into the hospital room where the father was recovering from a stroke and trying to interrogate them. This is just the tip of the iceberg.
There are a lot of bad people in politics. Bossie is one of the worst and scumbag is actually too nice a word.

The comment from “Steve” is false on numerous counts. For instance, there was no “doctoring” of Clinton audiotapes for a commercial. There was no accusation from Bossie that Clinton was responsible for the suicide. We demand that the comment be removed from this blog. Quin Hillyer, Citizens United
