Yeah, and if you believe that...

Truth is, MS was forced to focus group the tie because Tucker absolutely refused to get rid of it - everyone knew it was awful and that viewers hated it, but it took the results of a focus group actually being shown to him before he finally submitted.

Now they should show him all the subsequent focus group results and maybe he'll quit altogether.

This story is nonsense. Willie Geist wrote a column about it when it happened. Scroll down to the April 17, 2006 posting.

“The Man, The Legend, The Bow Tie” was a slogan used in commercials for The Situation, Tucker's new MSNBC show at the time. CNN never used that slogan. Also, Tucker's CNN show was named Crossfire, not Cross-Fire.

So I'm torn. Is it incredibly stupid for MSNBC to focus-group the tie, or are people in general incredibly stupid for judging Tucker for wearing a bow tie? Did people not know who he was without it? I'm leaning towards both groups being really silly in response to my first question.

Bow tie or standard tie, Tucker's got it goin' on.
I know, I know. I'm the only one on this board who thinks so. Oh, well.
