It would be neither fair nor right to the talent to put them in that position. How would you like it if some blog went out and wrote that your job could be in jeopardy because of either it being eliminated or you being forced to take a pay cut? Get my point? Look, I know a bunch of you hate Olbermann but hate him or not, he’s the lynchpin at MSNBC primetime. In NBC’s eyes he’s worth the money. And I can’t argue with their thinking since primetime is where the money is.

I know you're not willing to go into specifics, but I'm still not sure what this means. By "affecting talent", do you mean they'll get a cut in pay? Layoffs?
