How does KO know what their ratings actually are? I thought Neilson doesn't do ratings for FBN because they aren't in a certain amount of homes.

Yes, it's a small thing, but I get a kick out of how Olbermann is finally being nitpicked by somebody outside of newsbusters. KO has used mediamatters for years to nitpick every little word and statement others make, so I wonder how he will handle having it done to him.

"Bill regularly trades facts for stuff he pulls out of thin air, so I have no problem when others do the same." by RC

That has to be one of the dumbest statements I've heard in a long time. So you don't mind being lied and spun to. Good Grief.

#1 - I totally agree. Olbermann is consumed with his contempt for all things Fox and it has gotten really old.

I'll check out Countdown every now and then, but only in small bites because he has become a broken record....and he has become a parody of himself as he bashes O'Reilly and Fox for the exact same thing he now does night after night.

The irony with MSNBC is that they will cut Tucker Carlson loose - a guy who has strong opinions but can back them up and doesn't need to bend the truth/lie to do so. I was glad when MSNBC took "Beat the Press" away from his show because that wasn't his thing - bashing other networks for mistakes. Too bad it looks like they will let a guy who knows something about politics go and keep Olbermann.

Olbermann lying? I'm shocked. Shocked, I say. #2 Jim is right. This isn't a story. It's more douchebaggery from the king of it.

Is it any wonder at all that Fox is expanding with new channels and NBC News is cutting staff & facilities continually?

What is somewhat troubling here is not that Keith Olbersmear got yet another story completely wrong,
but how often he gets away with even greater distortions.

Just force yourself to watch an episode of "Countdown"
{don't worry...antacids are much better than in the past}
and pay careful attention to the misleading, slanted editing used when stealing Fox material and using it to get the paltry ratings they finally managed to achieve; try fact-checking the blantantly absurb lies reported as "facts"; then, use your objectivity in assessing the "professional demeanor" of the host...why is it I
always think of "Special Olympics" when I stumble
across a "Special Comment"??? {No offense to the handicapped meant here...the offense is directed
squarely at OlberStiff}

Blabberman is just dumb and stubborn, even when the facts contradict him. Neil and company jumped aboard Fox because NBC does not believe in excellence. It believes in mediocrity, and the Blabberman is the best example.

Poor KO. He makes Rosie O'Donnell seem sane and serene.

Instead of encouraging him, the suits at MSNBC should be giving him lots of time off in a quiet room.

This is why I grew tired of Countdown. Olbermann's all-consuming contempt for all things FOX will be his undoing. Sadly since his ratings keep rising he will only be encouraged to do this more.
