TMI…

I present to you The Quick Brown; a site that tracks Foxnews.com headlines. And here I thought blogging about cable news was too compulsive/obsessive…

  1. Predictable behavior from these people.

  2. ^

    These people?

Oh yea, How about those other people? Haters watching FNC 24/7/365 and having a whole website whining about it.

  3. Don’t fret! Lost Remote has a CNN “version” linked.

    Comment by Terance — December 26, 2007 @ 7:48 pm

  4. Call me dense, but what’s the point of the site? I can’t tell if it’s just trying to be informative or if it’s trying to make some kind of statement about foxnews.com or FNC in general.

  5. Neither can I…

  6. Terrance, I was going to have you hit me with a tiny url but I see Lost Remote is in the blog roll. I must say however that I see a sanity over there that I don’t get with these people The Quick Brown.

  7. Elmonica, I can’t use the tinyurl for a while! :> Btw, will you be updating your blog? Because I think that is an awful way to tease us.. I do realize you were using it as an example for the ratings, but don’t be selfish. I’m sure there’s plenty of cable news related thoughts you’d like to share with the people. And I promise to post regularly!

  8. I hadn’t given it much thought Terrance, but maybe some day. In the meantime feel free to keep it in your blog reader in case something profane comes to mind.

  9. I so don’t get this… what’s the point? That headlines get changed throughout the day? Is this news to anyone?

    Comment by Arthur — December 26, 2007 @ 10:25 pm

  10. This can’t be applied to any of the other cable news outlets or this blogger is just facinated with FNC? Is it an art statement?

  11. I’ll join the choir by adding that I really do not understand what that site is trying to convey. Not at all. (Even after reading the un-informative site FAQ)

  12. This site is pointless.

  13. I took a look at the site, and then the site by the guy who runs it. He seems to be some sort of digital artist.

I’m inclined to think this is a demonstration of some code he’s come up with… or some sort of art project.

It’s interesting, but not really revolutionary or ground breaking (unless it’s new code, in which case, that’s pretty cool). It seems that most of the time, the stories are updated, headlines are shortened, or a word or two replaced.

How predictable, that the local hater immediately jumped on the “This is FOX being terrible” bandwagon, even though that’s not really the case. Elmonica, did you really look at the two sites? The site Terance talked about, “WTFCNN?” highlights CNN.com’s funny or strange headlines. “The Quick Brown” highlights changes in all FOXNews.com’s headlines. Where is this extra “sanity” you think you’ve found?

    Comment by ImNotBlue — December 27, 2007 @ 11:22 am

  14. Well, at least el’s searching for ’sanity’, and that’s certainly an improvement.
