Dream food trips?
The New York Times’ Kim Severson asked several people if they could go fly anywhere in the world to eat, where would it be? One of those was CNN’s Dr. Sanjay Gupta…
“My family is from northern India, so while I love all Indian food, I have a special place in my heart for Northern cuisine. Most of my favorite places to eat in New Delhi are literally there one day, and gone the next – little carts on the side of the road. It gives a whole new meaning to the phrase “Delhi belly!” So, on the few occasions when we put on a nice Kurta shirt, I like to go to Bukhara, in central Delhi. The cuisine is described as “northwestern frontier” Indian, which is a style that focuses on a clay oven, called a tandoor. Where Bukhara really distinguishes itself is with a relatively simple dish: dal. It’s black lentils with tomatoes, ginger and garlic.”

This guy is SO disingenuous. As if somebody who collects Ferrari’s in his spare time would eat from a street cart in a country he pretends to frequently visit. I hope he googled it before answering the question to be sure what somebody told him to say about food in India is accurate.

All I know is that this guy seems to appear on American Morning every 15 minutes or so, talking about something that isn’t good for us. It’s not that his health segment doesn’t have a place on the morning show, but the frequency and repetition of this health stuff so early in the morning by this man may be one of the reasons that the program is so far behind FOX & Friends. They may as well make him one of the hosts.
