Glenn Beck on his surgery issues…

I had to wait until I got home to post this because I wanted to see it first and a firewall prevented that from happening.

  1. OK, I’ll bite.
I’ve had days like this, generally menopause induced. I cannot imagine broadcasting my mental sewage for all the world to smell. It’s bad enough that one’s family has to put up with it, but that’s part of the job. He might regret more that just the whiskers when he’s feeling better.

  2. If that’s a cry for help, do NOT throw him a line. What utter self-absorption.

  3. It is strange, indeed.
    Whatever made him do this?
It seems to be muddled thinking, to say the least.

  4. It is mostly an update for his loyal listeners to his radio show. The guy could have died.

  5. So what the heck happened to Beck? I thought he was just taking the week off, when I saw Mike Galanos filling in for him.

  6. Lots of unanswered questions - what time of surgery; was this an emergency, etc.? Sounds like he had a horrible experience and was improperly medicated?

Anyway, I don’t follow GB THAT closely but I don’t think he’d pull anything like this unless he had a reason. It will be interesting to find out what went on.

  7. What TYPE of surgery, not what “time”. Maybe I need to go get checked out as well!

  8. Please someone tell me what kind of surgery this was and when did it happen? I can’t get utube right now. Why is his surgery so controversial?

  9. Had this been non-routine or “controversial,” the surgery would have been blogged to death.

And don’t be surprised if he NEVER names the hospital, doctors or narcs he’s been on.

  10. sophia, he didn’t say what he had done or where (he just implied that it was an “upscale” type hospital). Sounds like it was some type of emergency, if I had to guess. And apparently he received horrible care and/or bad medication, stating that he was actually suicidal at one point. He said he’d “name names” on Monday. We shall see.

  11. Time Warner will never allow him to “name names.”

As stunts go, Beck wins points for creativity.

  12. It doesn’t matter what TimeWarner thinks. If he can’t name names on TV, he will on the radio. That is, if he WANTS to when the time comes. You forget, Steve, that Beck already had two forums from which to speak. Now he found a third: YouTube. If he wants to say something, he will.
This is a great promo for his Monday shows. I know I’ll tune in.

  13. Doesn’t matter which boss Beck works for in which daypart. No corporate toady will initiate a malpractice claim in any on-air forum.
