Olbermann goofs on Gravel…
Apparently Keith Olbermann said last night that Mike Gravel had dropped out of the race. Well that was apparently news to Gravel and like any candidate who doesn’t get a lot of press, he’s going to milk it…
Once again, the Mainstream Media has not gotten the facts straight.
MSNBC pundit Keith Olbermann has incorrectly declared that Sen. Gravel has dropped out of the race following the January third caucus in Iowa. This is not true, and Sen. Gravel is still an active member in this race. We are requesting that MSNBC and Keith Olbermann retract their statement, and issue an apology to the campaign for promoting blatantly false misinformation.
Again, Sen. Gravel has not dissolved his campaign, and has no intentions of doing so.

Uh oh..looks like someone going to have to put themselves on WPITW or on Dan Abrams’s “Beat the Press”. LOL!!!!

Don’t hold your breath. The only reason he “apologized” for the Rudy quote was because a tape of Rudy’s actually play just seconds before Olby launched into his lie.

Missy: On this thread, I am post No.4. Had O’Reilly made the same gaff, at a minimum this would be post No. 400!

I’m sure Olbermann will do what he normally does - issue an incredibly weak apology, find some way to further attack Gravel, and then go after anyone who called him on his original mistake.

Looks like you’re all wrong. He gave a STRONG apology, after explaining EXACTLY what happened: MSNBC received information from a man who, from their vetting, gave every indication of being the person connected with Gravel’s campaign that he said he was. MSNBC conveyed this information to Matthews and Olbermann, and Olbermann conveyed it on air.
Now Gravel claims he isn’t quitting and that the big bad MSM, specifically Keith Olbermann, is spreading deliberate lies and falsehoods about him. Wah wah wah. And of course the He-Man She-Woman Keith-Haters Club of this blog is more than ready to jump on it and say it is oh, so true, it’s just another example of the lies Keith Olbermann tells all the livelong day.
Nonsense like this is why this blog’s comments section has degenerated into nothing but an auxiliary of Olbermann Watch. The only reason I came here today is to pose the rhetorical question: “What kind of an idiot do you have to be to think that when Keith Olbermann gets bad information from an MSNBC staffer who vetted it as best possible, and announces it on air, that he’s being a deliberate and malicious liar?”
Of course, I already know what the answer to that question is.

He’s emotionally immature and deluded and mentally ill. Other than that, I think he made an honest mistake, and by the lack of posts on this subject, I’d say most people think it’s no big deal. As do I.
