Thursday’s Numbers…

I’m breaking out the numbers to 1 am due to the Iowa caucuses.

Update: Because none of the networks aired the same programming at the same time throughout the evening, I’m not going to render a judgement as to who “won the night” because it all boils down to what you consider “the night” to be from a ratings breakdown. Countdown was on at 8 while CNN and FNC were doing Iowa at 8:30, but MSNBC was still covering Iowa. CNN and MSNBC were doing Iowa at 10pm while FNC was doing Hannity & Colmes but FNC was still covering Iowa. And the networks didn’t all peak at the same time. In terms of peak hours for the night, CNN and MSNBC peaked in P2+ and the Demo at 10pm. FNC’s peak hour in P2+ and the Demo was at 9pm.

  1. CNN’s coverage was terrible, but they seem to get the highest numbers. I watched MS-NBC, I’m a glutton for punishment. Tweety was a hoot! Olbermann took a few lumps from the rest, that was enjoyable to watch.

  2. Spud: A slight typo: you are showing P25-54 for both columns at 12AM and 1AM.

  3. Wow! The 10/11pm CNN demo figures are impressive. I wonder if Super Tuesday will see similar numbers.

  4. Here is my comment, Keith Obermann is a jackass, maybe if he would spend more time talking about the news, and not about Fox, he might, but I doubt, do a little bit better, he knows what that little bitty means….GET RID OF HIM…HES A JOKE

  5. #4, I agree with you about KO, but I feel likewise about BO…I think we need some new fresh faces with new schticks….both of those clowns are wearing me out!!
