Check out the drop off from BO to H&C in both catagories. Does anyone have a “crafty explanation” as to why so many people abandoned ship?

Because H & C isn’t BOR. BOR has a built in audience that’s only interested in tuning into the Factor. Once it’s finished they’re gone or another less likely reason is BOR and H & C’s back to back is too much so they tune into the repeat of H & C.
Sometimes I watch H & C’s after Factor, sometimes the repeat but most of the time I skip it. There’s only one BOR.

I gotta agree with Lurker on this. O’Reilly and H&C are two very different animals.
I like both, but I like them for different reasons. A drop off isn’t all that surprising… although, I’d be interested to see how many NEW people they gain, versus people who CONTINUE to watch.

Keith O is a joke. The ONLY reason “Countdown” exists is to bash Bill O. Keith’s numbers suck and bashing Bill O doesnt build an audience and numbers.

I bet more people would stay on if H&C was just H. But H&C is a good show with a strong audience anyway so there’s no reason to change it plus a bunch of BOR viewers probably watch him then some of the broadcast primetime.

Ira, ya, so H&C retained some of the viewers! My point is they lost a lot of key demo and even more P2+. How do you think Donny D. feels with his “The Bad Idea” ? FNC lost more in both areas than he ever gets.

I’m watching Morning Joe’s numbers. They’re getting better and better and get great guests. All of the presidential candidates (Republican and Democrat) and other NBC news people like Brian Williams, Tim Russert & Chris Matthews.
I bet by the end of the primaries they pass CNN. At first I thought firing Imus was a mistake. Now, it seems like it wasn’t a bad long term plan.

Aaron, remember Hannity has his own show on the weekends. The following for that is not nearly as strong. I don’t think there’s enough evidence for a “we don’t like Colmes” rational.
