Well that was fast…
The networks have already called New Hampshire for McCain. FNC called it at 8:11pm. CNN called it at 8:12 pm. What time did MSNBC call it? At least the Obama/Clinton race is too close to call otherwise the viewers won’t have a lot of reason to stay glued to their sets.

FNC’s Brit Hume said,“We believe based on a combination of exit polling and the raw data that we have that Jon McCain has indeed won the New Hampshire Primary making him at least on comeback kid tonight for sure.”
This was quickly followed by a report from Carl Cameron from the McCain HQ saying, “You’re going to hear a roar in a second because the “McCainiacs” are absolutely thrilled.”
Not a critique or anything but i always found it so trivial, this whole who called it first thing. It’s like; are americans that impatient? Like with a presidential race or even a primary for that matter, does matter if we find out who the winner is at 11:59, as oppose to 12:00 as oppose to in the morning. I guess it matters to political junkies but as a casual viewer its just mehh

Sam, one or two minutes doesn’t matter… we’re looking for more significant times… five minutes, ten minutes, etc.
But if you got the numbers, might as well post ‘em.

INB, they are correct that McCain was the winner but 12% precints reporting is still unfathomable to “project”
