Clinton and Obama make the rounds this morning…
Senators Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton made the rounds of the cable news networks this morning. Both appeared on FNC’s Fox and Friends and CNN’s American Morning. I saw Obama on Morning Joe as well but don’t know if Clinton appeared. Johnny Dollar has the video of the Obama interview. CNN’s Clinton and Obama videos can be accessed here. I looked on MSNBC.com for the Obama footage from MSNBC but can’t find it.

Senator Clinton didn’t appear on Morning Joe.
The Morning Joe interview of Obama was much better than the Fox and Friends one in my opinion…they gave it more time (or Obama did, perhaps) and delved into what Obama thought happened in N.H. and what he plans to do moving on.

Both on FOX again?..and they can’t debate on there why?

I think its kinda funny how the dems refuse to debate on FNC but will go on there for free publicity. Oh wait, the joke IS ON FNC! Because they’re so “starved for attention from dems”, they don’t have the guts to reciprocate the “boycott” unless they agree to debate. So, in the end, the dems still yap it up on FNC while not debating. Ah, but I thought the dems were scared of questions from FNC? Is that only during a debate? Because I’m sure the anchor managed to get a few questions in, eh?

Terrance has a peculiar notion of news coverage: news organizations should “boycott” certain news and selected individuals. The show for that is Countdown, but in that case we’re not really talking news anyhow.

Terance, I’m having a little trouble understanding what you wrote. Do you honestly think that FNC should reciprocate the “boycott”? That would be very bad policy for FNC… as a news organization, they can’t actively exclude a political group from their network. So they have to grin and bear it.
But you are correct; this does show they’re not necessarily afraid of taking questions from FNC (although the morning shows are hardly the forum for the tough interviews). Instead, it goes to show they’re pandering to groups on the left, who feel that not debating on FNC will cost them revenue. Pandering isn’t really much better than being afraid. Do we really want a president who is so beholden to special interest political groups, that they won’t even do something that will potentially help their campaign?

Why not? we got one now. Oh wait - look how that turned out.

ImNotBlue — I was basically talking about an eye for an eye. But, I didn’t mean not reporting/talking about dems at all. Anyway, who says they HAVE to bring dems “on” for interviews? Couldn’t they just show pressers and talk/report on ‘em?

Terance: When all this nonsense began, Brit Hume made a telling comment on Fox News Sunday that the boycott notwithstanding, they still have to cover the news and newsmakers.

Arthur… come on. What political group would that be? The strick conservatives don’t like him… the Dems hate him… so what group is in his corner now?
Either way, if you’re upset with the status quo… why attempt or accept it in the future from someone else?

Did Mitt and McCain make the rounds too? I’m a bit surprised that the Republican side of the race got short shift for New Hampshire.

FOX News was VERY biased toward Obama. They asked him nothing but questions revolving around conservative campaigned themes. Then, they try their distraction tactics by asking Obama a cutesy question about Red Bull. They were not as bad to Senator Clinton but they were pretty biased. Its just outrageous how they can get away with this and continue to advertise themselves as fair and balanced. Senators Clinton and Obama shouldn’t do them the honor of appearing on their air.

I find Fox news unfair and balanced. I think Obama is fair and balanced while Hillary Clinton is definitely unbalanced.

Why in the world is there an ALERT on both of these FNC screen caps? Neither chyron is revealing anything ALERT worthy nor do I think Obama and Hillary being on the show the morning after a primary deserves an ALERT. Is this just a matter of FNC abusing the ALERT graphic? I’m of the mind that ALERTS should be reserved for actual breaking news.

STP, our local news (which I NEVER watch but was flipping past today) had a news alert. I thought I’d better stop and watch a sec to see what this huge news story was. Are you ready? A stolen car was recovered!
