Beck on Cavuto…

HLN’s Glenn Beck will be interviewed by Neil Cavuto tonight on FBN…

Tonight on Cavuto (6-7pm ET), FOX Business Network’s Neil Cavuto will interview syndicated radio and television host Glenn Beck on his recent hospital disaster. Beck will discuss how his routine outpatient procedure turned into a medical nightmare and how the threat of lawsuits has created a lack of compassion in hospitals.

  1. Now even less people can see Beck than even on his HLN show.

  2. My mom is in the hospital right now, and wow, are these staff members there idiots!

All the nursing staff does is sit around at their computers entering info. Yet they are constantly asking my sister and myself questions, re: her medical history, medications, WHAT MODEL PACEMAKER SHE HAS, etc. But everything pertaining to her has been performed at that very hospital! What is it; do they not know how to retrieve information once it’s entered? Or are they really sitting around reading blogs or doing Sudoku puzzles?

Anyway, I see first hand how something could go drastically wrong. And as is the case with Beck, this hospital is in a relatively “good” area. I feel bad for any patient who does not have vigilant family members present, because these hospital people do not seem to be looking out for their patients at all!

  3. Nothing to add, but well wishes to your mom, Missy. I hate hospitals… ever since I had to spend a bunch of time in there as a kid, just the smell of the hospital makes my hair stand on end. Anyway, hope all goes well!

  4. Missy: I echo Blue’s get-well wishes to your mom.

Spud is familiar with the story of Pete Wilson, a local TV anchor and radio talk show host who went into the hospital for what was considered routine hip replacement surgery. Wilson, who was 62, died of a heart attack!

  5. INB and Ira, thank you both for your thoughts. She is home now and I hope the the treatment (which we will learn of next week) will help solve her problems.
