Olbermann vs. FNC: Uh-oh…

I hate linking to this because it’s serving an agenda and I don’t want ICN to be seen as aiding and abetting that agenda but unfortunately the source material is news and this is the only video version of this incident I could find. It seems pretty self-evident to me that Olbermann is just plain wrong this time. FNC did report an official denial.

  1. When is MSNBC going to turn back into a pumpkin?
And Keith Olbermann back into a rat?

  2. He’s already a rat in Olbermann skin. This guy is so low class and without integrity. I don’t know why anyone watches him or pays attention to him.
MSNBC only keeps him on because it is the ONLY show they have that gets some type of audience.

  3. This wouldn’t be a big deal if it was the first time this has happen…but it isn’t KO has done this many times..and if he corrects it and admit his error it usually follows a cheap shot at the party he lied about IE: Rudy Giuliani.

  4. Well Bill that “type of audience” would include you.. anytime olbermann causes a stir you all flock to his show to see what else this idiot will say…

  5. You already link to both J$ and Olbermann Watch. What’s new?

  6. Gee, Keith o. caugth in yet another lie…no surprise. He never learns…

  7. You already link to both J$ and Olbermann Watch. What’s new?

I like to $ because it’s principally an FNC fan site. But you’re right about OW. That doesn’t fit in with the rest of the blogroll, which has evolved considerably since I first added that link. It has been removed.

  8. Aw… boo on Spud for removing OW.

Clicking there was so much easier than hitting it up in my bookmark menu. Thanks a lot, Spud. You’ve cost me 1.5 seconds daily… AND I’LL NEVER GET THOSE BACK!

  10. Dan Abrams did a segment on this after Olbermann’s show. What’s unintentionally hilarious about it is that he ran a whole bunch of clips of Garrett noting the denials, talking about the emails with Begala, etc.–all stuff that just minutes earlier Olbermann claimed never happened!

  11. J$, great job of editing. And I love that music - very accusatory toward KO!

And “joe”(#4), you are wrong. While some of us may have watched Keith’s program at some point, it sounds like we’re all now pretty disgusted with him and his tactics and just comment on things we see here and at other places on the web.

  12. I used to be a fan. No more. His obsession with Fox and his willigness to twist, bend, distort or as in this case, flat out lie to pander to fit his own personal agendas disgusts me. If he had one iota of class at all (which he doesn’t), he’d apologize for this. But he won’t.

  13. What is worrisom is that some think Olbermann is a news person.

    Comment by Kirk G — January 10, 2008 @ 1:18 pm

  14. What is worrisome is that both Olbermann and his employer claim that he is, in fact, a real news person. It says volumes about MSNBC that he was one of their lead “anchors” during the New Hampshire primary.

  15. Alison….you are so right it hurts!

Olbermann to news is Etch-A-Sketch is to art…..
    only the Etch-A-Sketch is a quality product…

  16. The trouble is that he is just an idiot who doesnt know any better.
